I transferred my old flex account as soon as the flex direct became available. Added £2500 straight away and yesterday received an interest payment of just over £7. (Only had less than £1 in flex account before hand)

Now just need to remember to add £1000 each month. Am hoping I can just transfer from my Halifax account (which also requires £1000 a month for £5 credit) and then just transfer it all back to Halifax the day after

Just got off the phone to Nationwide and my three accounts will all be paying 5% for 1 year as they were open before the 8/03/2013 (opened all three on 04/03/2013). If you opened an account after this date you will only have one account paying 5%.

    BR

    :money:
    Current Acc's(AER) - £7.5k@5%, £5.1k@ 4%
    Saver Acc's(AER) - £2.4k @ 6%

    ISA - £5.76k@2.5%

    Cash ~ £800

I have a suspicion that, whilst this may be the official line, there will be many people with more than one account opened after this date paying 5%. :)

hmmm curious to see if they mean the date you signed that form or the date you applied. As i applied ages ago but there was atleast a 2-3 week delay in getting the forms to finalise it (despite having the account viewable online.

    Nationwide Internal Credit Score
Hi, wondered whether anyone knew what nationwide's internal credit scoring system is? I saw today in the branch they had my score as 4 and wondered where on the scale this was?

Does the fact that it says INTERNAL not mean anything to you?

Hominu look at the second part of the question, it's a fair question and maybe he just wants to know a bit more about the scale and how it's formulated

Well... my first post on these forums, been reading around them for the last couple of weeks and finding them very interesting and a good insight into what others are up to out there in the savings world.

I've opened three FlexDircts, two fully funded up to 2.5K, third one opened this evening. I only did this after once again speaking to N/W and them still confirming interest would be paid on all accounts. The chap even said he had an internal e-mail saying that is the case, it would only change if they sent out correspondence saying otherwise.

Like many, I will be a little surprised if I do get the 4.89% gross on more than one accounts, but just getting them open in case. I may wait until the start of may to fill the third one, don't want 5K sat there earning 1% do I now!

    To me it would mean:

"Hmmmm....that's interesting. I wonder if I can find out what it means from some kind Nationwide employee on an internet forum". ;)

Years ago (around 12) I was told that I had an internal score of 1 which was the best. But that was a long time ago.
