Does it say this in any of the T&C's. Multiple accounts at the end of the application process confirms that I get 5% for 12 months. I cannot find this interest limited to a single account anywhere on Nationwide website.0 -

Listen I can tell you now from the Top that you'll only get 5% from one account, you can carry on believing other posters on here who haven't got a clue but trust me I'm right.0 -
It's been quoted a few times before by other users, in the Flexdirect terms and conditions pdf it states -
1.5 You will only be entitled to one introductory rate or offer (where applicable) on a Nationwide Group current account product. If you have previously held the same Nationwide current account product in the last 12 months, you will not be entitled to the introductory rate or offer under this agreement.0 -

I could just as easily say the opposite. And I must be correct because I said so.0 -
Read the terms and conditions. What other proof do you need?
Wishful thinking and infantilisation seem to be rampant these days!0 -
Proof?
I could just as easily say the opposite. And I must be correct because I said so.
I knew about the new Nationwide interest account opening up before anyone else on MSE did.I also know the new Nationwide packaged account comes next week before anyone else and if you were a betting person would you bet against me that I'm wrong.0 -
So would you be able to predict the latest interest rates on their Cash ISA's next month?0

I don't know about Bugsy, but I'd guess banks will start pushing 3% for fixed term products (3 years+) and give 2% or so for instant access.0 -
Well, I stopped to get my credit report before Nationwide credit checked me (I'm naturally [STRIKE]paranoid [/STRIKE]cautious), but the whole thing was rather painless, and they even offered me a credit card with a ridiculous limit at the end of the process without an extra check.
Thanks for the advice in this thread (and I did read the whole thing). It just seems a bit too good to be true - I can't remember the last time I earned 4% net on anything... :T I'm not even getting 4% gross on my ISAs at the moment!0 -
The nationwide account has been one of the longest for me to setup. Got all my bits and bobs through from them after 5 working days, and then in the letter it said I would have to wait 11-14 working days to receive online login details
First Direct and lloyds have been the easiest by far.
Just waiting for my customer number from nationwide I think.0
