Innovate - do you ever get completely bored with people who can be bothered typing in a question but can't be bothered scrolling up or searching a little for answers on stuff like this when they have been answered time and time again?

You must have the patience of a saint (and need to put your sig in larger bold!!).

She has to send out some paperwork for my signature
Yep, they like our signatures so much, they want it again and again. Sent mine back today.

I also asked about multiple FlexDirect Accounts. Her understanding is that I can have only 1.
I know you can definitely have more than one. Whether you get interest on more than one is the uncertain bit. All will become clear before long.....

She does sometimes get bored - you can tell by the monosyllabic answers ;)

And she does have the patience of a saint. Occasionally, that saint is Saint Vitus :rotfl:

Think I'll wait for you pioneers to announce the outcome of the interest credits on multiple accounts before I apply for more than 1 ;).

I'm not disputing the fact that a credit check will be done, of course it will be, to check your identity and financial stability with other banks. This doesn't mean that you're 'asking' for credit as Hominid put it. When you sign up to a gym membership they'll probably check your credit file.....does that mean you're asking the gym for credit!?
If you use the gym without paying, they are unlikely to report your balance to a credit reference agency, whilst if you go into an unauthorised overdraft with a bank, there is a very high chance they'll report your balance to one or more CRAs.

Furthermore, a gym membership will show up as an unrecorded enquiry - no lender will see it, whilst a current account application will show up as a full credit search, just like applying for a credit card, and other lenders will see it as a credit application.
