Hi can I join please. I am out of work at present so most of my money will be made by selling on ebay, I have also joined the list 1000 things on ebay thread.

I am going to concentrate on 1 debt at a time, the highest interest one is £1500 therefore 1% = £15. Once this is cleared I will start on another.
  • Hey everyone I too haven't really been focusing on any goals really. My mortgage application has just gone in so just really trying to keep hold of all my pennies.

My final student loan statement came in - just shy of £30,000 which is scary. Got a job interview for trainee accountant position which will give me a pay rise of about 5-6k per annum.

And my car rattle is getting worse :( with the MOT quickly looming.

Happy tails welcome to swagbucks i use them to add to my amazon account and save them for xmas pressies :)

    Hi all,

Been quiet recently as been on cheap holiday, and covering my daughter being on school holidays, etc.

But have gained 1% from QuidCo cashback on my car insurance! :j

Also been working on creating a 'crafty' product to sell, and setting up a website selling it, and now also trying to set up a Facebook shop to sell it as well, and my 3 pronged attack includes selling them on eBay too!!!

No sales as yet, and may well have priced a bit high, but a few similar products selling for more.

I'm basically having a go at selling Novelty Bird Boxes, i.e. painting up bird boxes to look like speed cameras, phone boxes, etc. may sell, may not, but there are websites out there that must be selling them as been around a while so having a go, and painting them in my lunch at work.

Have a look and let me know any thoughts, if you search in 'Google' for "Novelty Bird Box" you'll hopefully see me listed on the first page, with a moonfruit website. Think I may be too pricy at moment, but seen similar for sale at £45 and mine are £25 at moment.

    Cheers, Rushy

Rushy, sounds good!! I want to start making things to sell but havent time at the moment, maybe when DD1 starts school.

Today has been busy and quite expensive,

Well we had a 9am hospital appointment for the youngest. £1.30 in car park charges, i was only 20 mins!!

Spent £9.18 in Home bargains, £4.80 in costa as opposed to £8 (this was our little treat and scaled it down) and spent £3 on some really pretty Xmas wrap/tags/ribbon in Next so thats me sorted now for gift wrap.

Been to a 4th Bday party today, cake and sweets and DD1 won the present in pass the parcel which was a Monsters Inc play set so the kids are chuffed as its a free toy!!

Earned £14.20 plus post on Ebay today. Got a load ending on Sunday too. Need to set aside the local pick up ones and parcel up the others ready to post either tomorrow or monday depending when people pay.

Quiet evening in, hoping to be productive but totally depends on how well the kids go to bed. Will be either tidying/sewing or ebay listing if i get chance!! Off out tomorrow night to see Jimmy Carr, just the car park to pay for :) What does everyone else have planned over the weekend? sarah x

  • Ive also been missing in action for a bit - but pleased to report I am well and truly on the wagon :D

Like specialkaye my mortgage application has just been accepted so Ive been hanging on to the pennies too. I have been doing lots of overtime and that has made an amazing difference.
So after a return to the spreadsheets Im happy to report 2 milestones - I have paid off 18% and my debts are under £20,000. To say I'm chuffed is an understatement :D

£51 worth of bids on eBay so far, they end tonight so hopeful for some more last minute bids :)

Will be putting most of it towards debt 3. (Hmrc) hoping for 1% which is £55 after fees etc.

Yesterday I had a whip round the house looking behind sofa, in winter coats that aren't being worn, in handbags not currently being used etc and found £20 :j

So that's my first 1% :j I will update signature when I have actually taken it to the bank and paid it in.
