Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on here in ages as I've had a full time job since Christmas.
I have now saved 70% of my £5000 goal, hoping June is going to be a cheap month as its my birthday next week and the sun is shining meaning there are lots of free things for me to do
Still doing a bit of swagging - saving up those amazon vouchers for next Christmas, even if I don't need anything my Mum will!
Speaking of family Im still living with the rents and my goal is to help them bring down their spending, they keep blaming the mortgage but I know its only a max of 15% of the take home pay.So something is going awry some where.
Right keeping it short and sweet as im going to go enjoy my last day off for 20 days(I kept my weekend job as well when I went full time). Toodles!!! xx

Hi
Just sold something on fb! Yay! Made £5 so it all helps.
Been doing my extra work solidly this weekend... hoping if I get it done well ahead of deadline, there might be more available.
Hope you are all enjoying lovely long weekend:rotfl:0 -
Have not been so good this month however when I add up on Wednesday (Payday!!) I am hoping to knock at least another 1% off.0

Hi all, 26 things listed on Ebay in the end! Listed the kids play kitchen on FB so hoping to get £45 off that - that will be going towards the kids bikes though but will match this and take it off the debts too, DD (4) is saving up, she has £12 so far, her bike is £39.
Also re hemmed 2 pairs of dads trousers this morning, he is paying me £10 :j
I cant do anything until payday and i need to get the holiday behind us before i can pay more than the minimum incase the car breaks etc.
Im going to speak to the husband about making a buffer fund of about £100 that will live in the eSaver we have. It wont be for food/petrol and definitely not luxuries etc literally just emergencies like breakdowns/run out of baby milk/topping up the bank incase we go overdrawn etc. Whatever we have left at the end of the month we will add another £100. Once we get to £500 we will leave it there and just make sure it maintains that amount. Then we have a wee buffer but after budgeting for everything each month we will be able to put anything leftover to the debts rather than not doing 'in case we need it' and subsequently spending it on crap by the month end.

Another 1% made eBaying some more trains!
Annoyed though that 1 parcel where I combined two items at request of buyer and gave him a discount, wouldn't be accepted as "small" parcel at P.O. and had to go as "medium", so lost money there! More annoyed as coming back to work and checking Royal Mail website I'm sure it should've been "small" under the 'exceptions' for small package sizes!
Think I'm a victim of a lazy P.O. staff who gauged size just by looking at it! Will treble check next time, and print off the size guide to take with me, to shove it under his nose!
Sorry rant over...hope everyone had a good weekend, I spent far too much at a village fair, but the kids had fun which is the main thing, and got some plants for the garden (how middle aged of me :rotfl:)'1% at a time' Member - #197

Hi all
Could I join this challenge please? I've joined a few challenges to get me started on my journey, but I love the sound of this one as it should encourage me to do some extra things in addition to my monthly payment. I'm fortunate that I'm in a position to pay off £450 a month, but going to aim for £500 and I'm on a 0% offer, so not paying any interest until March next year (it should be gone by then). However, I'm also not sure if my job will be here next year, to want to earn/save as much as possible to try and have a buffer if redundancy does occur.
Anyway, I currently owe £3260.06, so I have got my 1% as £32.60 or £33 (if that's the way it works?).
I thought this would be great for savings afterwards too, so I look forward to joining you all on your journey.1% challenge - /100%

Going to be making my (hopefully will be)SIL a birthday present this week as her birthday is the week we are away. Hoping to make a few small things too in june to pop aside for future birthdays etc as fathers day i will need to get creative for both my dad and my hubby.
Also, is anyone thinking of christmas? i am LOL. im also thinking we wont have the credit card paid off by then at this rate so really need to step up our game.

Hi Everyone
I would like to join in if I may please? I have been lurking since the start but was a bit nervous about joining and as you can see I have never posted before!
My 1% is £8 please.
I have 4 debts to tackle but this one is the first and the only one I pay interest on, I would like to manage them 1 at a time as I think I will be able to achieve more if I have smaller amounts to manage.
I got paid today so I will do my sums later and see how many %'s I can pay off.
Great idea Little Miss. Thank you for running the challenge.0
