I would really like to join this thread. My 1% is £40. I'm new to MSE and think this is a really great way of putting your debt into more manageable chunks. I look forward to learning ways to pay off my debt quicker and getting some really great advice from people who have been around on this site longer than me. :-)0

28% of £19653.31 repaid over the last 12 months.
Next month will reach 30% repaid. There's still a very long way to go but it's better to have reached this point than just repay the minimum payment and interest on the long term loan.
Let's see how much will have been repaid over the next 12 months with my overpayments planned. Hoping at least have reached the 56% repaid point on my piece of paper, it would be good to get to under £10,000 mark in 2 years.final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Also I have made it to 50% :j
I can't quite believe it and I am so grateful for this thread, challenge & posters
As you may know my challenge was to save up for a holiday to Disney world. Being at 50% now my OH has agreed to stump up 25% in 2015 so I just need to save £2000 between now & when we leave in Summer 2016 :D1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

Sorry! I've not been on this thread for so long.
I desperately needed to pay my catalogue off before interest kicked in...I don't know how I've done it, but I have done it. :j
In the last couple of months I somehow managed to find over £700  but it's now cleared and I can breathe a huge sigh of relief and concentrate on decluttering the house.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi all. New year and new focus. Getting this debt organised.
We are going to shift everything to 1 loan to keep things simple and it will reduce our monthly debt outgoings by over £100 initially. We will then be able to set money aside for saving for our holiday this year/child 2 starting school/christmas etc. Overpayments and paying it early in full are allowed so going to do that next year.
Currently we need to pay
£5570 by feb 28th (we have £200 so far hence the massive panic and consolidating)
£3500 CC 0% ends in May
£7000 Loan
We have a few essential house repairs to tackle too and need to get new tyres on the cars.
Re assessing our budget for this year also, going to try and find cheaper gas/elec/internet etc
My new challenge will be to save up 20% of our new loan over the next 2 years along side the monthly payments.
£4250 (20% of the loan) - 1% is £42.50
