  • Hi Grassgirl - I don't plan to reset to 1% - I think it would be a bit disheartening for me! But go with whatever works best for you.

  • Think I'll stick too, as each 1% will be larger and would mean finishing quicker as plan to do 1% every x days :)

Can I join please, I have £4000 overdraft, therefore my 1% is £40.

    Thanks in advance

  • Paid another 3%, total of 8% paid.
  • I'm so excited - I've just paid off my overdraft and requested it be removed! Slightly scared, I nearly left a bit, you know, just in case I need it...
However it is gone - account can go to zero but no lower! So my overdraft is now 100% paid off :j

    Need to update my signature.

Having got rid of this as the highest interest rate I can now focus on the next one...
The credit card. I had nearly paid it off but a couple of big spends pushed it up (car insurance, which I didn't plan for - whoops and a coupe of essentials).

So, my new percent is £14

  • I think I will reset on 1st Jan, mainly because it'll be easier to pay off 2% than if I don't and also I'm going to link it in with the debt free in 2015 :D

  • Go with whatever works best for you Grassgirl - you know what will best motivate you!
I've just reset my counter for a new debt target :)
Good luck with your 2015 challenge. I need to have a sit down with a brew and my accounts and work out what the heck I'm doing in 2015!

  • I do both lol. I have a running tally against my whole starting debt, but set myself smaller targets within that at the same time, which I reset every month. So, I'm at 41% of debt clear overall, and have just reset my target for money to raise this month :-)
