Nationwide FlexDirect - 5% interest, free overdraft

Dont know what they are going to do. If they correct it it will probably be for just on 1 account. But might keep both just to see if next month any interest will get paid.
The month-end business is tricky. March 31st was a Sunday. A lot of people who get paid (to another bank) on the last working day of the month (Friday) will have set up a standing order for the last day of the month. But inter-bank SOs don't happen on Sundays, so those SOs will have got credited in the early hours of Monday, the same time you made your transfer. But those SOs were supposed to earn the March interest and those people will all complain if they're counted as April."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
I am aware that there are quite a few people who has multiple Nationwide Flex direct account confirmed that they got interest of 5% for all account.
As the interest has been paid for this month. Those who has multiple Nationwide flex direct AND OPENED IN APRIL 2013
Do you get the interest of 5% for all account for this month ?
Also those who has OD facility, did not you get OD fee for using OD facility for more than one account ?
thank you for your time0 -
As we have heard that there is no OD fee, time to do stoozing. I am about to open two other new flex direct ACs but this time for stoozing and not for saving purposes.
What is the typical amount of OD approved, just want to know the typical value that it is likely to be approved? I know some people got £2500 is there any chance to push it to £5000+ ?
I am aware this will depends on personal circumstance, but at the moment my credit limit is still quite low in comparison to income so I believe I could still get around £5000 hopefully 2x£5000 to make it stoozing much worthier.
thank you for your time0 -

Nationwide is a very conservative lender - they are careful to who they offer credit facilities to.
You'd be very lucky to get £5k overdrafts on a new account.0 -
If you had both accounts by 1st April they should both get 5%.

Thanks. Will try them again tomorrow.
Wasn't an SO by the way. Just a faster payment transfer. Definitely done in the morning of the 1/4/13 but they were trying to tell me otherwise.0 -
They may move it around as suits, my 30th transactions apparently turned into 1st. Seems best to avoid the last day0

excuse me if it been said here before, but on the 27th of april and 30th of april i opened two flexdirect accounts, one by mistake, but oh well, i was wondering will i get 5% (4.89% or whatever) on both of them>?
In T&C said that only one account will pay that interest, but i see some people here getting interest on two? that would be great actually!0 -

Doubtful, they didn't make it clear when the account was launched beginning of March, so they said they would honour those accounts, but not those opened after they made it clear.0
