I tried contacting them through the secure messaging and got some generic response about it being a cash plus account. When I queried this they responded saying sorry ignore last message and you have a full account. Didnt pursue any further. Had the account for 3 1/2 months now with all DD's and salary going in and still showing same message.
I have subsequently got a select credit card from them with a decent limit so that maybe worth a try if you need a back up.
Evidently what it doesn't do is detect inconsistent flags. Looks like your account is in a confused state. It'll probably stay that way until you can get them to fix it. Question is, how many customer service people do you have to contact before you hit the right one."It will take, five, 10, 15 years to get back to where we need to be. But it's no longer the individual banks that are in the wrong, it's the banking industry as a whole." - Steven Cooper, head of personal and business banking at Barclays, talking to Martin Lewis0 -
If i open an account, would be able to walk into a branch and pay money in?0

Just applied (twice) for one of these accounts. The first application was successful and gave me an account number & sort code, but nothing has appeared in my online account yet. The second application offered me the account but then on the final screen said that they had to make some further checks and would get back to me within 5 working days. I guess this is to prevent me having multiple accounts.
Anyway, regarding the first account, should I transfer the £2.5k to the account details given to me so I can get the full benefit of the 5% deal straight away, or wait until the account appears in my online login?0 -
Mine appeared online overnight, but I think I opened them during the week. You might have to wait until Tue to see it.
No problem depositing the money into it straight away.0 -
The website is a bit too clever for its own good. It looks at the flags on your account to decide what you'll be allowed to apply for. You can't get to the application for a Select card unless you have a "prime" account, and you can't get to the applcation for an overdraft unless you've got the offline debit card.

Interesting. I assume from their initial response and from what your saying is that my account is flagged as having a cash plus card despite the fact that I have a full visa debit. May drop them another message to resolve this.0 -

I didn't bother, because I already knew why...I'd reached the max 4 current accounts limit*.
Furthermore, they'd just given me £2.5K overdraft facilities on each of my 3 FlexDirect accounts so there can't have been all that much wrong with my Experian credit file!
Standard letter I assume, but what a waste of £2 for the unknowing!
* Yes I know some have more, but no point grumbling about something clearly stated on their website pre-application info and the T&Cs.0 -
I haven't received the debit card yet for either of my accounts, opened at the end of March. Anyone else had issues with receiving theirs?0

has anyone with multiple accounts confirmed that they get interest in all?
I just opened my 3rd without issue yesterday. On the 3rd it told me it needed to do further checks but apparently went through.
Just applied for 4th today - again got the further checks message so let's see if I can get 4!5.41 kWp System, E-W. Installed Nov 2017
Lux + 3 x US2000B + 2 x US3000C battery storage. Installed Mar 2020.0
