Although i'm *much* older than 11 i like alot of the films that are aimed at this age group :o
    I can recommend:
    Mean Girls
    Hairspray
Angus Things and Full Frontal Snogging
    School Of Rock (PG)
    Bring it On
    The Goonies (poss PG)
    Just my Luck (personal favorite)
    The Proposal (Amazingly funny)
    The perfect Man
    Lizzie Maguire Movie
The Breakfast Club (Poss a PG)

What about Dirty Dancing? It's cert as 15 but compared to what's out these days i wouldn't personally class it as that.

I'm not sure about Bring it On for 11 year olds - despite the fact it's about cheerleading (and I run a squad) there are one or two bits I'd not really be sure are suitable for younger kids...and it's cert 15.

I like Hairspray too, and maybe Mamma Mia?

I loooooove tangled and the emperor's new groove, especially recommend latter!

I saw clockwork orange when I was 11 as I had a TV in my room and stayed up past my bedtime and it was on Channel 4. I wouldn't recommend it.

We love the film "Flushed Away" for a family night in. The (mostly) British cast are excellent and there is lots of sly humour for adults in there too, and plenty of visual gags.
Oh, and there are a couple of digs at the French for good measure!

I don't know why it wasn't more popular, I don't know anyone else who has seen it. We think it's hilarious!

We like Flushed Away here too! I think it was the terrible trailer that put people off at the time.

Our other favourite film that everyone else hates is Godzilla. Oh, and Treasure Planet.

I have it on DVD, a good film, but not awesome.Other animated & family (OK kids) films:

    Over the hedge
    Open Season
    Cats & dogs
    Night at the museum

Gnomeo & Juliet, wasn't bad either.

(Can you tell I don't generally like girly movies & chick flicks).

That said I do like the princess diaries 1 & 2 - they're hard not to like (I even know grown men who enjoy the films too). :)

I like St Trinian's but it's a 12 that some parent's might not want their kids to watch!
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
