Good choice! Hard to believe it's like 20 years old now!

I'm sure they'd like it, but maybe they're thinking about something new?

Do kids actually still watch 'classics' out of interest? My nephew is starting to love martial arts, and i'm looking forward to introducing him to 'the karate kid'.

Ralph Maccio, aka "the Karate Kid" is 52 years old. Just think about it for a moment... I used to have a major crush on him as a kid.

Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, Big Momma's house, Liar Liar, Yes Man. ( Can you tell I love Jim Carrey). We watched Mr Popper's Penguins fairly recently and I loved that too.

He's always looked very young for his age. He was actually 23 when the first Karate Kid movie came out!

x2! My world just got shook up for a second when Max told me he's 51!
Almost doesn't make sense. If you would have asked me to guess his age without cheating, I would have plumped for 40.

I think that's based on a few things:
1/He only exists in my head from the karate kid and my cousin vinnie where he was a young guy, and I guess that's just now how I think of him
2/He played a younger character that his actual age which throws the 'maths' out of whack in my head
3/He looks super young for his age (I share that in common with him, and i'm not bragging. I actually hate being nearly 30 and looking around 19!) I saw an interview with him on CNN a little while ago, and he looks about 40 , if that.

Anyway, enough of that. I think my mention of the karate kid has dragged the convo off a little.

Back to funny films for 11 year old girls.
