If all else fails and you have the means to be able to play it, what about a 30 day lovefilm/netflix trial (if you haven't already) and if they don't like your choice they can keep going till they find one they do like?

(also - love Angus, Thongs and Full Frontal Snogging and Mean Girls too -but a lot older than 11 :o )

Fantastic as usual, MSE people you are just great!

I showed my Daughter this thread before school this morning and she looked up quite a few of the films before announcing "Dad, I like the look of Monte Carlo", so we have a winner!

Marelyboy, I might get coneheads out for myself, I forgot just how funny that film is.

Otherwise thanks everyone for making me feel about 100 :rotfl:.

Ralph Maccio, aka "the Karate Kid" is 52 years old. Just think about it for a moment... I used to have a major crush on him as a kid.

Stop making up stories. I'm 46 this year and you are really not helping matters.

Wow, I'd totally forgotten about Now and Then, that was the film of choice for our sleepovers when I was younger! Great movie! Off to see if I can find a copy! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
