ISA Transfer - Cheshire Building Society

FWIW I've had the application processed email (26th Feb), and the transfer complete email (12th Mar), but I've not received any paperwork at all so far.
I got told by one CS adviser that you only get paperwork through (if you applied to transfer in on application) when transfer is complete. If the ISA was opened and not transferred in then you do get paperwork through. Different CS adviser, different day, different story.0 -
I know the ISA deposit allowance is being raised for 13/14, but is it possible it could be raised more on Wednesdays Budget?
There has been calls for this as it is seen to be unfair that cash ISA's are half of S&S allowance.
Any thoughts on this?0 -
I think it unlikely, there's not a lot of cash in the kitty, I think any tax breaks will be aimed at business or to encourage growth
I do expect something for pensions but nothing for savers per se0 -
Well my paperwork arrived today, so only a few days late. It comes in the form of a letter, dated the same as the transfer complete email. It's a pity that it makes no mention of the (application received) date, from which they say they will pay interest.FWIW I've had the application processed email (26th Feb), and the transfer complete email (12th Mar), but I've not received any paperwork at all so far.Stompa0 -

Had my paperwork through too on 20th March. The email and text to say it was complete came on Sunday 17th but the letter was dated 16th. Oh yes they included a financial summary booklet, but not the important stuff they said was included, i.e. T&Cs leaflet and forms for addition and withdrawal.
Must admit there was no delay at all in Virgin transferring out on due date of 15th March and Cheshire crediting new account.
Only trouble is Virgin was 4.5%

Note that they've just withdrawn ISA Saver (Issue 1) and replaced it with ISA Saver (Issue 2) at 2.3%. Fortunately I did a second transfer application online yesterday, and even though I've not yet posted the forms I'm assured I'll get 2.5%.savetilibleed wrote: »Had my paperwork through too on 20th March. Oh, I didn't realise additional transfers could not be made once iss 1 is withdrawn. Wasn't planning to (don't think).

TBH it's not entirely clear, so I could easily be wrong.savetilibleed wrote: »Oh, I didn't realise additional transfers could not be made once iss 1 is withdrawn.Stompa0 -

Good Luck with that.
As Issue 1 was a variable rate (including a 2% bonus rate), I have actually assumed that Issue 1 could/might fall below 2.5% in any case, but no lower than 2.0%?0
