It only costs an extra £84 for Justin Selig to put a case together on your behalf, money well spent as they are the experts.

You will have noticed, perhaps, that I didn't post at all in the first 3 months of this year, when I was doing a 3 month-long trial. Barristers tend to be extremely busy sometimes, and less busy at other times.

I don't work in Middle Temple. I'm a member of Middle, but my Chambers are in Gray's Inn.

    1. Any barrister worth his salt would say that sometimes he gets things wrong.

    2. I don't know what a bassister is, can't help there.

    3. You are wrong; hope the rest of your opinions are, for your sake, less incorrect!

If OFT overturn the decision this will apply to all Bank of Ireland customers without the need to go to Justin. Although am sure everyone is very grateful for the advice given and the people who have paid for the advice.

Not sure about that you would think & hope so. But Id rather pay a few quid & make sure as its case by case.
There are a few category,s you need to come under to persue a claim.

I'm sure barristas also make mistakes from time to time, too.
...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

Do you mean it would cost me £120 plus another £84 to have Justin and his team put my case forward? You see I would really like to know before I pass over my ID and paperwork what I am getting into.

This information and costings would be very useful to others affected and would no doubt bring in many more participants. To withhold this basic info will limit the amount of ps.

I am grateful to Justin Selig and his website for the following link which I am sure will help us decide on whether to join in the Class Action:

    Sunday Times
TRACKER mortgage customers hit by a shock interest-rate rise are planning to take their fight against the move to the Office of Fair Trading.

Lawyers acting for some of the 13,500 Bank of Ireland (BoI) customers affected said they may have a case under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 based on advice received from a senior barrister last week.

As a result, lawyers are now preparing a formal complaint to the Office of Fair Trading (OFT), which investigates potential breaches of consumer protection laws. It could order the bank to reverse the move.

Doesn't the fuller version of this article suggest that individuals file their own complaints in the first instance?

Yes a total cost of £204 & OFT will fund if they take up the case as said. If we win they will probably go for damages, but there,s no need to go for that if ure not interested.
If you pay the £120 for the advice, if you feel you could go to OFT yourself then thats up to the individual. I however prefer to pay for the expertise noing Im in good hands & sit back relax & wait, I,ve to date put hardly any effort into this as I dont need to as its being done for me at what I see at a low cost.
