I earn over 3 times what my hubby does, but we share all money - I do less of the domestic stuff than he does but I work longer hours and I am the house organiser

It's varied over the years, but currently we earn absolutely identical amounts (to the penny) as we are equal shareholders in our business.
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...

I earn 50% more than my hubby and we're both fine with that. I'm more career driven and have put in the effort with professional qualifications and working long hours. I'm conflicted about whether to continue working full time after having a baby but he is very keen to work less and take on the bulk of child care. This is partly because he loves spending time with children, partly because he isn't career driven and partly because he worries about money and therefore would always choose the option that left us financially better off. I'm lucky in a way that his self esteem isn't linked to his work and he's happy to do this as after working so hard for years I would hate to feel forced to stay at home, but I also wouldn't want to be prevented either.

Now that we're married I can see us getting to the stage where we just put everything into one account whereas before we married it was seperate accounts and splitting things fairly evenly. Marriage and committing to a long term future changed us subtly on many subjects, just as I imagine becoming parents will too.
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!
