I am with you welshnige......I am getting fed up of good deals coming on here for genuine people who wish to take up the offers and then you always get them, scouring the boards and saying "ebay". Ban them! p.s. sorry good offer for the nice genuine community spirited people on here but for the "E-Scummers" please sod off you are nothing to do with this website and this board.

I must be missing the point of the poster making some point of profit out of mentioning the word ebay on here...Is it somewhat tenuous or have I really missed the point?

A lot of people have taken the OP up on his offering of a bargain and there's no (obvious?) link to any financial benefit to him/her?

It looks like a lot of people have picked up a product they are happy with, so not sure where the "I'm better than them, Ban them" attitude is coming from...

Just my thoughts...

Thanks particularly to Alictait and Christait for their reviews and comments and also to ayaaz for posting it. I have ordered one due tomorrow morning. Couldn't get the quidco thing working despite lots of comments - but hey, got the 20% off using the 14000 code, so I personally don't think you can go far wrong with a phone of this caibre for the price.

As an aside to the earlier note, I hear that it will cope with Tom Tom and also Metro (software that gives directions on the tube - and other tubes - paris etc. i seem to remember from my Palm days). Does anyone know about this ? Cost ? Viability etc. ?

I can't believe that TomTom who sell in car kits for lots more than this, will allow it ?

Have I read the hype wrong ?

Agree fully. The OP has not posted any sort of link and had I not seen it, I wouldn't have had the bargain - Ok, so ebay has been suggested but you get far worse on the boots board where people seem to be cashing in on the Protect & perfect serum that they are taking it back to the store if it does not sell for the right (inflated) price on ebay. It is nice if a bargain remains so long enough for the normal peeps on this site to take advantage for one for themselves, if the ebay crew get to it early, then that is life unfortunately - market forces. Personally, I don't think it was the OPs intention that we should buy lots up to sell them, he/she was just making it clear that it was a great bargain, and if it did not suit after you had indulged in one, then you could sell it on....

anyway, that is my two-penneth. Hope I have not offended.

Couple of points:

I was accussed of been an ebay scummer in this thread, some body who looks through the threads for a bargain to sell on ebay. It was said that people like me should be banned. Can i just say i had no intention in upsetting anyone and those couple of people saying I should have my account banned, well if they look closely and see who started the thread, they will realise it was me who bought the offer to everyones attention in the first place.

just my thoughts anyway.

I'll be installing tomtom on my lobster phone today, I'll let you all know how it goes!!!

First of all, thanks for posting this offer, I took up this offer yesterday and ordered through quidco and used my credit card, received an email a few minutes after the order email saying I had to phone up as payment wasn't taken. Spent 20 minutes on the phone, guy didn't know of the offer and said it should be £49.99, gave him the web page address and said I would have to call back in the morning to the sales team. Said my order was in a cancelled state anyway, so asked whether it was worth ordering again which I did with a different card and it went through ok. Also impressed you can get it delivered on a Saturday very convenient. Purchasing it just for it's digital radio, if the phone is ok then will be a bonus - using an old Sagem at the moment so should be an improvement!

Thanks again ayaaz007 and I'm interested to hear how you get on with Tom Tom and any other bits and bobs you can do with this phone!
