there's a £80 cash back on Quidco on Vodafone £15:50 sim only deal giving 600 minutes 500 mb unlimited texts with the cash back just under £9 per month

    Hi Dal

Thanks for that. I've never used cash back. Is there a possibility that you don't get the cash back? Is it easy to do? Just under £9 sounds really good too!

Yes, it is easy to do and there is a possibility...

BTW, '3' have 600+5000+1Gb plan for 12x£12.90 with £48 cashback that makes it 12x£8.90

I've never not been payed out some retailers are better than others at paying out this year i had a o2 sim deal £50 cash back from Quidco & had the £50 in my bank before they had taken a penny off of me

Vodafone seem to have a good feedback on Quidco but if the sim Purchase doesn't track within 48 hrs i would cancel the order with Vodafone & not take any chances

    Thanks Mije and Dal,

I assume you're talking about the £10 a month deal or are you saying you were offered the deal for £8 which would be good?!

I also notice Vectone does a 1000 mins/texts and 1 GB for £10 a month which looks pretty damn good, unless others know different ...

I was offered the deal you are on now (£10.50) for £8 a month. Had enough minutes and texts for me but as I said not enough data.

Vectone seem to have good deals but have a look on the forum as they don't appear have a good track record with customer service.

Yes, I've heard Vectone don't have a good customer service track record, so I think I'll steer clear.

Just found Carphone Warehouse do a 10% cashback deal on the Virgin £12 sim only so brings it down to £10.80 a month.

But not sure whether I really need all those minutes so probably if I don't get a deal from T-mobile I'll go towards Vodafone or Tesco - unless anyone knows of another deal.

There is a thread on hotukdeals that lists a lot of the best sim only tariffs available. Might be worth having a look at it.

  • Thanks Mije! I'm not sure I can stand the strain of waiting to see whether I get a cashback or not!

I note Talkmobile do a 6 month £8 a month SIM for 300 minutes, 1000 inclusive texts and 500gb which seems better than any T-mobile deal.

Anyone have any experience of Talkmobile?

I always preferred sim only but since you say cost is important, the CPW offer of a free Galaxy Ace or similar with 250 minutes, 5000 texts, and 500mb on Talk mobile for £7.50 per month could be worth looking at. You could sell the handset as well.

T-mobile offered me £8 and threw in £10 goodwill payment to pay for my next month's bill, so decided to take that as I can also use the Internet on London Underground. May not be the absolute best deal I could have got elsewhere but fine for my needs and considerably cheaper than what I have been paying! Thanks for all your help - it's a great boost to phone up with all the details and talk confidently! :)

Just had a major row with T Mobile as they will not release me from my contract without paying the FULL fee.
I want to go on PAYG with Giff Gaff. Its so much cheaper and the reception is better at my home.
