  • Evening everyone, hope you are all keeping warm!

I am happy to report yesterday was NSD # 13 (lucky for me at least!) Today wasn't a NSD as I had to buy a few groceries but should be able to get another tomorrow before the weekend spends start.

Banked a NSD yesterday, taking me up to 14. Not one today though, as topped up on liquid gold. Thursday now seems to be my "petrol day". ;)

After a lovely day with my new class yesterday, today they were bloody hard work. They are really variable. I'm going to be working on strategies to deal with them over the easter holidays. There's no point starting on them now because they'll only forget over the holiday. But after that, they better be ready for a shake-up!

The last week has been interesting in sussing out my fellow school staff. You really do learn that some people are genuinely nice at heart, some people are too rushed to be really nice, but are decent really, and some people are just not that nice. There's one woman who has twice now given me very much the cold shoulder. Not in the least mad, just mildly interested to see the different levels of "people skills" that exist!

Candlewick – Legs Eleven :T Well done :)
Cw18 – number 12a for me, but this evening's been tough as I've had a mad craving for something sweet (got to be related to having given blood and walked over 6.5 miles!), but no biccies in the house to dunk in my brews!!
Fedup – number 15 logged - or is it 16? you're doing great either way :)
Flubbery – number 14 banked :T one only more to target....
    Headabove – Congratulations on number 8 :T
Mad scientist – congrats on your 12a :T
Mrs Cautious – another with Legs Eleven - well done :T Do you want to increase your target?
Purplemum – Well done on getting number 4 :T And fingers crossed you get another tomorrow :)

Karenccs – just nab as many of the blighters as you can. even if you don't make your target you've still done a lot better than if you hadn't bothered trying :)

No 12A please, up to & including today. I can't remember what I said for my original target..not recalling very much at all at the moment :undecided RL can be a right PITA at the best of times, but is doing a spectacular job here at the mo.
Still, never mind..I'm inside, warm & fed, so an awful lot to be thankful for, especially on a filthy night like this

I've always wanted to be a blood donor but my veins go into hiding at the sight of a syringe--literally! Last blood test took seven attempts over two days to strike claret & the one occasion I did donate, they asked me not to go again because it took over 45mins to get 200mls so they couldn't use it :( (Time-wise, arm>fridge has to be less than that) Extra shame, as I'm a rare blood type too :o

At least you've tried :) I have to insist on a bed that means using my right arm (they always used to want to take from my left as I'm right handed) as you can't find a vein in the left and I hate needles.... if they didn't hit the spot the first time they wouldn't get a second attempt
