Hi folks!
Well, that's #7 well and truly nabbed and 4 in a row for me today.I've had a nice day at work and am off tomorrow. An early night tonight is the plan...how exciting.:o
I hope you're all having a relaxing (and non-spendy) weekend.
ps thanks freeby for the update!0 -
Managed NSD #5 today, hoping for another one tomorrow. Not too shabby so far for a first attempt, think it will get harder further into the month but hoping my target will be at least met, if not surpassed.0

Thanks for the update Freeby
Yes, Hairy Blokes were awesome - still chuckling about them now.
Well not a NSD for me today, went over to the nearest big shopping centre as local town is pants, and got a few (more) new foundation samples to try and some new moistureiser samples too. Think I know which one I am going for, which is the eye wateringly most expensive but I figure 'at my age' its something that is worth investing in, if nothing else for the sake of everyone else who has to look at me :rotfl: Plus I have dry / sensitive skin so need to be careful about what I use (although that's not to say the premium brands are actually better than the cheaper ones)
While I was there (being fleeced in the car park) I took the opportunity to pick up my friends b'day card, and eh'm might have made a couple of textile investmentsOne I actually need to exchange for a smaller size (wasn't sure whether a smaller size was actually available and didn't want to miss out...checked internet and turns out they do do an XS), also got a lovely jumper in 0asis...BUT....there was 20% off all current collections today, plus I had a £20 voucher, so 'only' cost me £10.40 of 'real' money....
...oh and then I had a cuppa and a bun in $tarbucks...nom nomFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

#6 in the bag!
I've had a PJ day today, which stops me going out and spending.
Off now to do a fridge/freezer/cupboard inventory to see if I need to hit the supermarket tomorrow.
It was meant to rain all day today here... but although it's been overcast, not a drop has fallen. Don't always believe the weather man!Because it's fun to have money!

I was amazed (well actually I wasn't) at the number of people in town today scrabbling for last min cards and numerous boxes of (overpriced) chocs for tomorrow (lost count of the number of fathers clutching the hands of small children and a box of heart shaped chocs...ahhhhhh) Now I'm not the most organised of people (hhhmmm...ok, perhaps I am) but folks...the Mothers Day cards have been out since 15th Feb.
From the look of it I dread to think how much money has been thrown at last minute gifts today - was almost like a scene from Xmas eve. I actually though my mum would want to go out tomorrow so was gonna buy her lunch, but she just wants me to go round for a cuppa and show her how to use her new mobile (I must remember all the stress relief techniques I know for that ) so i'm cooking a cheesecake to take round instead of a gift she doesn't really need / want. I thought / hope / pray  that she thinks I'm being thoughtful spending my time on Sat evening baking for her, and not that I'm being a tightwad.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Evening
I ended up popping over to the Residents Association meeting last night and had a couple of glasses of wine and have had a terrible head today. I think as I have got older I just can't take drinking like I once did and shall remember that for next time. I have done absolutely nothing today because of it so will need to get up early tomorrow to catch-up on cooking and housework but it has at least been a NSD bringing my total to 5.
Tomorrow will be a spend day as we are taking mum out for dinner but I am hoping to get a string of them from Monday.
Marmite, my cat seems a lot better today thanks, still not quite herself but she has at least eaten and has been on her feet (or should I say paws?). Just as well because I think I would have struggled to get her to the vet.
Freeby, thanks for updating.
Beanielou, that's a fantastic amount of NSDs, a full house so far!
Kerri gt, I am sure the fact you will be spending time with your mum and have made that lovely cheesecake will be enough. Homemade or handmade always make it a bit more special I think.
I have just relisted my unsold items on e-B*y as it's a free listing weekend. Hopefully, I may have a bit more luck in selling them this time round.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Evening everyone:wave:
Hope you’ve all had a good Saturday despite the weather... what happened to our Spring???
Freeby - thanks for the update as always :A
Boss - sorry you put the mockers on your NSD on Friday, fingers crossed for Monday
BMF - hope you managed to resist eating the berries today:D
FOS - oh dear, you’re having a bit of a rough month really, hope things get a bit easier for you. :A
If - love today’s pic, it’s definitely made me smile:D:D
wildcherry - you have the same default setting as me, if anything goes wrong I want to treat myself. Unlearning that habit is tricky but it is doable (is that a word, it looks very odd), you’ll get there. Hope you enjoyed the choc orange tonight :A
kittiej - I can see that “plan” is going to be your word of the month.. good luck
marmite - glad work went well today and happy day off tomorrow
MrsC - you’re doing brilliantly for your first month :j
kerri - moisturiser and foundation are definitely worth spending a bit more on after we get past a “certain age”.. they last longer anyway. They’re really the only two things I spend a bit more on than normal, I’ve “dropped a brand” on everything else.. very MSE :money:
flubbery - hope the rest of your week at the new job went OK?
CW - good luck with fleabay and yay to 68 of the other NSDs :j
And NSD no 8 for me today..... I’m still resisting the spending.... yippeeee!!!! :j Another decluttering day for me tomorrow so hopefully that should bring in no 9, fingers crossed....The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time
