Does anyone else like cloaks?

Oh yes. I want a white faux fur trim one for winter and a swishy black gothic one for faffing about and looking pale and interesting in random bits of forest.

Yep, I am a cloak fan. I managed to find a couple in a bag Of freecycle goodies. they are so warm and very flattering. When I was a student nurse back in the late 80's I had one too to wear walking across to the hospital.0

You'll see them by the truckload at any New Age gathering.
Personally, I think that the average cloak wearer looks rather like a small dalek in movement and in build. I haven't seen any of the tall, willowy, young women that advertise the things ever wear them in public. Just 5 foot tall middleaged women.
But I'm from the town that brought the world Witchfest. So my experience may not be representative of places with more normal people in it.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

I have a glorious, huge dark purple cloak made of velvet and lined with silk and I had it specially made for me by seamstress in the USA but I only wear it when I fly my other vehicle
I've never noticed them becoming a fashion item I must have missed that one. One similar to mine can cost hundreds but if they have been in fashion at some point I'd try eBay (look on the Metaphysical section, sometimes even Witches have money problems and need to sell off some goodies!
) you never know, you might find the cloak of your dreams. 0 -

I take it that that would be a broomstick?0 -

Gorgeous.
The one you linked to is similar in design to mine, only difference is mine is made of thick velvet and lined with silk, virtually the same though and its very fetching by moonlight
(by the way I'm tall and very willowy, not sure these would look good on a short female) 0 -
Adore them. I have a lovely mink coloured one which has a hood and a cowl neck... I can wear it with a belt. I am quite tall and have to have 33" leg length in trousers and my cloak looks great. My husband says I look like the woman in the Scottish Widows advert from years ago. I have had it for 15 years.0

I love cloaks. I have 3. I have one my mother made me which is black velvet with a red satin lining, a faux fur one which is beige and short and I have an ivory faux fur one which I wore when I was bridesmaid to a friend who got married in Lapland.
I don't wear the ivory one much but I do the other two in winter, they are so warm and cosy.Never look down on anyone unless you are bending to help them up.....0 -
Well they can look rather stylish:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I love them; and in the right fabric they can look stunning - but I sure as hell wouldn't wear one because of this. I really wanted one for my wedding - but all those I tried on made me look like a cross between a lampshade and a pac-man ghost. I went for a wrap from this shop in the end http://www.etsy.com/shop/JumiFelt
I am a five foot strict-looking top-heavy middle aged women though, so they don't do anything for me
