been work fed DH and hes gone back found the rubber bit that had gone missing off his headphones - id binned it thinking it was the end of a nerf dart so retrieved it.
really really angry have just found out the the pushbike my DS assured me was locked safely at college all weekend (despite me suggesting me goes to fetch it back) has been nicked!!!!!!! it was locked up with a good bike lock but but that obviously didnt stop the scummy little git who decided to have it.

    Hi all.

I'm back properly this week, using my own schedule.:o In fact I'm ahead of myself, which is good as Mr LW is wfh tomorrow, and I have a hossy appointment (ultrasound scan on my shoulder) tomorrow afternoon. Maybe it's the excitement of having a new duster-onna-stick:D but he offered to help me dust the lounge yesterday afternoon, and I wasn't going to say no, was I?:D All the Mary nose-art is now removed from the kitchen and patio doors (thank goodness for white vinegar!) and much as I love Mary to bits, it's nice to have the bungalow more or less ship-shape again.:o That said, if she wants another holiday, she'll be very welcome to come here again.;)

    Ionafan congratulations - excellent news!:o
LW- tell me more abut your tomato bread - I love flavoured breads nom nom
It's just a standard medium loaf done in the BM, as per the booklet that came with the BM, with sundried tomatoes from the recent Italian market thrown into the mix - I use seven half-toms iyswim, chopped into small pieces with scissors for this size of loaf, and I just chuck them in with all the other ingredients (my BM doesn't have a receptacle to add stuff during the process).

I shouldn't worry - everyone in our Close surely knows by now that I'm definitely completely and utterly round the jolly old bend!:rotfl:

I have some good news myself, if you'll indulge me; I had a letter from DWP today - they've put me into the Support group, with no further hoops of fire to jump through.:T:T:T A huge weight off my mind, as I was absolutely dreading having to attend a face-to-face interview.:o

Pottering around since my last post after having some lunch. Spent a good hour or so trying to work out how to close the CSA claim. Still no joy, but there appears to be plenty about chasing non-payers and posts around from people who don't want to pay it :(

Just promised DD I'd take her to Mr A when she gets in. She needs to get a birthday card, and packed lunch stuff for the week so she can help me do a grocery shop ;) She won't be happy at lugging it home, but she'll have the jacket she's pestered me about so any complaints and it goes back ;)

Think I might get a pasta sauce/bake for tea while we're out. I'm in the mood for comfort food but I don't want pizza again :o Will wash up while DD gets changed, do other bits on the list, and will clean the floor in the kitchen later after the shopping has been put away and we've eaten. Any sooner and it'll be dirty again before bed! :o Off to write a brief list ;)

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • I'm back in again this week, thanks dusty for the lists. Mind i don't think i'll get much done today. Spent all morning collecting stuff for the charity garden, so most big things have been lifted. Boys being a pain and might not get to bb tonight, it could be bed very early.

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Basic Flying
Sweep and mop the floor - could't let the mop brigade down :D
    Clear and wipe table
Wipe the work tops, remove all things which don't belong here
Clean the sink, drainer and taps
    Deep Cleaning
Clean the extractor hood and splashback
Clean the hob, under all the dials too

    Decluttering
    Sort out a hotspot
Sort out all your vases - are there any to rehome
Do you have any pet pest control you may need for when the bugs awaken?
Charge that epilady or warm your wax, it's time to declutter your winter fur.

    Ionafan lovely news. :j
Right i better go and do something before i fall asleep.

Huge congratulations to Ionafan on Nathan's safe arrival, and equally huge relief-type congratulations to Lamewolf on the DWP's decision. Excellent news.

Two lodgers out, one new one in. Interesting comment from her, 'There are places where cereals and bread for toast are made available, just laid out in the mornings. I wondered if this was one of those.' This was then followed by, 'Oh no! No bath!'

    No.

Just no. It's going to be a tiresome week.

Two rooms changed, dusted, vacuumed, shower room cleaned (including the floor!), 1 x WM, washing out, yesterday's washing x 2 in, and I'm about to embark on Dusty's Kitchen list, prior to making a Shepherd Spy for tonight to go with the spring greens OH bought on Saturday.

Following some excellent advice from a Pet Nutrition Advisor, I have instigated a completely new regime for Dog, as I had yet more carpet scrubbing to do this morning. We will know overnight if it's worked - fingers crossed. She knows something's up, too.
    Better is good enough.

HB I'm planning to make Shepherd Spy tomorrow - enough for two days, as Mr LW will be on late shift on Wednesday.:o I do hope Dog's new regime works for her; if it does, it'll be heaps better for both of you.:o

All that remains to be done today is carting the rubbish and recycling out (bin men due tomorrow) which Mr LW will do when he gets home. And I need to do my Brain Training, so going to switch off the netbook now, and get on with that (it's on the N1ntendo DS).

    See you tomorrow, everyone.

Thanks for all the kind messages re DGS3's arrival :j

Must make a coffee sponge for DS2 tonight to take with us tomorrow. Haven't cleaned my kitchen floor yet but will do it later this evening after I've spilt flour on it, which is what usually happens when I start baking :o

Lame Wolf, I am so pleased for you. It must be a great weight off your mind. :)

    Well said, Pigpen! :T

Mrs M-P: sorry to hear about your DS's bike :(

Posi-vibes to all who are having trouble with the CSA

    Welcome to newbies! :)

Must go and cook our meal now - lasagne tonight :T
  • Sorry I am late to the Party ladies :o Thanks as always to Natty and Dusty for keeping me in sight of the straight and narrow even if I go for a wander ;)

Ionafan congratulations on the new addition to the family, Lamewolf so pleased DWP have stopped playing silly wotsits for you:j, there is hope for the rest of us yet.Pigpen sorry to hear about OH sister, stick to your guns [STRIKE]inlaws[/STRIKE] outlaws can be more trouble than they are worth ;)

I had a peek at the list, but haven't done any of it yet (bar cleaning the worksurfaces before I cluttered the shopping onto it:rotfl: so it will need doing again later) - that mopping is croaking at me :(:( i have managed to avoid ringing steam mop company again all day (this is going to be a phone call that will get me in tears I just know it ), although I did buy some floor wipes to force me to do something with the kitchen floor.

Right time to put the kettle on and mop that floor before I convince myself that I need to start cooking dinner first

Any other Mop-Evaders [STRIKE]ready[/STRIKE][STRIKE] willing[/STRIKE] able to join me, PLEASE
The cold never bothered me anyway
