• Hi there. I'm in again and thank you, Natty, for last week's lists and Dusty, for this weeks. I got a head start as I cleaned the kitchen yesterday, also sorted out the fridge and food storage, including the cat cupboards - who are as stocked up as any superstore! I also made 2 x SC meals, and some soup, so we are ok for homecooked food when I get back from work ths week. I like to have something easy, but nourishing, as my job is quite wearing, and these are all packed with lean meat and loads of veg.

Also cleaned bathroom and lounge, OH hoovered through and I MOPPED(!) - I don't mind it!! - the kitchen and conservatory as OH had been gardening and brought loads of mud and leaves in with him, despite changing shoes.

I've already S&S bathroom and kitchen again after my shower today and folded 2 x WM loads, so no ironing!

Good wishes and healthy vibes all round - and big congratulations to Ionafan - what lovely news. X

Going to chill now and have another read through and it will soon be time for toast and work! My head's 'muzzy' today and I hope to feel better for work. Bye for now, R x
• Can I try this week? I've been off sick for 14 months and need to start taking some of the load off wonderful OH.
When did the stuff I used to do routinely get so scary?
This looks like an approachable way to try - thanks Dusty kitten and all posters - -here's my list

Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room

Basic Flying

Sweep and mop the floor - could't let the mop brigade down :D
Clear and wipe table
Wipe the work tops, remove all things which don't belong here

Deep Cleaning
Clean the extractor hood and
[STRIKE]splashback[/STRIKE] windowsills
Clean the hob, [STRIKE]under all the dials too[/STRIKE] Touch controls so no knobs and anyway the hob blew up last week

Not as much done has hoped as my bestfriend phoned to see how DD1 and I are after the crash.
I did manage to unload and reload DW, empty the airer, put the WM on someone forgot to put it on last night  Empty and wash kitchen bin and recycling bin, which was on last weeks list I think  and make a cup of coffee :D
I'm going to wake DD1 up in a minute. I said she didn't have to go to her work placement this week, I didn't think working with 30 under 5's was going to be good with a sore neck. She's not sleeping too well (hence the lie in) as she's having to sleep on her back because of her neck but I can't leave her in bed all day or she won't sleep at all tonight.
• Thanks for the company wendywitch and toochoosey :) HHC completed and now the house appears to be back in order, also took a couple of phone calls and made a couple myself; hair cut booked :D and party invitation accepted :D

Will log onto laptop and have a proper read of the thread and update my list...
• Welcome, Stoodles, and take it steady and just do a few things at a time - it's amazing how the lists here inspire, even if you don't follow them exactly.

Wendy, I've just read back about your car crash. It's not much consolation, but at least neither of you was badly hurt, but what a shock. You take care and also your DD. Neck injuries are awful and the pain can linger on, I do hope she is soon feeling better.

R x

Welcome to Stoodles and Shopaholic232 - just take it easy, do what you can from the lists and over the course of a few weeks you will start to notice changes.

Just about to start lunch (scrambled eggs) but in the meantime this is what is left from the Flying list:
Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Basic Flying

Sweep and mop the floor - couldn't let the mop brigade down
Wipe the work tops, remove all things which don't belong here
Decluttering
Charge that epilady or warm your wax, it's time to declutter your winter fur.

I will mop the kitchen floor straight after lunch. Honest.

That's really good news and she seems to be really getting into helping/cleaning/decluttering. How old is she? Think your timer idea is a good one and I may well put it to use with DD with a monetary rewards as extra incentive!!

She has her moments of being helpful, then we can go weeks where she'll be a right pain in the bottom and won't lift a finger lol She's nearly 12 and starting to "outgrow" stuff, but there was an awful lot of "I'm too big for that, but I'll keep hold of it for when *niece who's nearly 5* visits":rotfl::rotfl: I really thought she'd have cleared out more stuff but I'm not pushing it!

The money incentive was because she wants to buy a jacket from Mr A's that she's seen and she was £5 short even after getting all her pocket money ;) :rotfl: I've told her, within reason, she can spend her pocket money on whatever she likes. She gets lots of clothing stuff second-hand from her aunties, and I buy all the basics new so she's never short but she saw this jacket and liked it. Tried it on in the shop (a rarity so I knew she really liked it) and announced she was going to save up to buy it without any prompting :D My only say was she is to buy it one size bigger than she wears, so it'll last her longer due to the speed at which she grows ;)

There I was going great guns this morning until a text from the CSA to say my payment would be with me soon arrived. Wrong amount is coming through. There's been an error in the deductions from ex's wages and now somehow I'm getting more money than I should, but according to departments at his end he's getting a refund so I should only be getting the correct amount and in the midst of all this £50 is unaccounted for between his wages and the payment that is apparently coming to me. :wall::wall: So we've both been on the phone in turn to the relevant people most of the morning and we're both still none the wise :mad: Just sent him an email suggesting we scrap the CSA and make it a private payment via standing order like he used to pay me when we were together. At least then there's only each other and our banks to deal with! Every error we've had over the past 5 years have been with the payroll department his end making mistakes and I'm getting sick of spending hours/weeks trying to get things sorted :mad:

I need to get some lunch then I'll crack on with the jobs. I was hoping for a reasonably easy day of watching films and ironing but thats not happening now!

Personal:
Ironing (will do while watching a film or two)
Big shop - either online or make list!
Wash up
Take DD to Mr A for birthday card & the coat she wants to buy IF she's home by 4pm ;)
Look into eb@ying costs etc (been a while since I sold something)

Work:
Replacements/Returns
Deliveries
Book list for Thursday
Type up trial account sheet - maybe this method will work?!?

Monday - Kitchen
Basic Flying

Sweep and mop the floor - couldn't let the mop brigade down :D
Wipe the work tops, remove all things which don't belong here
Clean the sink, drainer and taps
Deep Cleaning
Clean the extractor hood and splashback
Clean the hob, under all the dials too

Lunch!!
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
• Ionafan - congratulations! What lovely news :)

Nicki - well done on getting your DD fully involved in looking after her things and her space; I did this with DD2 yesterday and it makes such a difference to her room which is really quite small.

Anyway, welcome to newbies and I hope this week brings positive things for the health and wellbeing of all.

Must get the books open for some studying now.... back later, Cake x
