    Congratulations Ionafan and family!

I will be doing what I can this week - pain permitting :( (spent yesterday, all bar 1.5 hours, in bed ), luckily I hadn't swallowed my filing frog last week, as we needed the paperwork I was supposed to have filed this morning (the car that should have been fixed broke down again on Friday night )

I'm going to try and be in again, and hopefully more successful than last week! :o We did manage to munch a frog though, DD and I decluttered her bedroom on Saturday. It took all day, but we went through ALL her toy boxes, ALL her stationary (she has more than me and thats saying something  ) and all her toiletries. She did most of it, I just sat there and advised when she wasn't sure, and whacked a timer on when she started getting distracted. Nothing like the threat of everything on the floor going in the bin in 5 minutes to get her moving ;):rotfl: So a box of stuff for rehoming (eb@y or charity shop), a box of recycling, a binbag of rubbish and a shoebox of "keepsakes" stored away and her room is much tidier, she can put her hands on almost anything, and she earned £5 as a reward ;) Now if she can keep it like this for the next few weeks I'll be happy as it'll allow me to get in there and deep clean the room!

That's really good news and she seems to be really getting into helping/cleaning/decluttering. How old is she? Think your timer idea is a good one and I may well put it to use with DD with a monetary rewards as extra incentive!!

So sorry you're in pain; hope this week goes better for you. Boo hiss to the car breaking down - let's hope it's fixed for good this time.

Ionafan huge, massive, ginormous congratulations to you and your family! Welcome to the world little Nathan.

Pigpen hope your weekend went well and that this week is going to be much better for you.

Just had a cuppa and am basking under SAD lamp! Had an embarrassing time on school run as DD had a model palm tree in her room (v big - about 5 feet) - Juniors are doing a play for Infants and they needed a palm tree so DD kindly offered hers. Great apart from muggings here had to carry it up to school for her; I had so many comments/people staring at me - I'm sure all the residents of our village think I'm a bit cuckoo :o!! Anyhow, done now and I've told the teacher they can keep it as a prop.

Going to do my dailies then take Pip out for a stroll. Here's my list:

  • Morning all, I'm in again this week. Thanks for the list Dusty; I like the new style :)

Haven't caught up on the thread yet, DD's back to school today and getting up was hard! It's still so cold! Anyway, DD's dispatched to school and I've now finished my 3rd coffee and really can't put off getting on with something productive any longer.... DW and WM loaded and running but I need to make a start on the rest of the dailies and items on the list, and I must do some studying today! I haven't done any over half term so I must get on with it!....

    HHC challenge 10-10.30 anyone?

Congratulations to ionaNAN :p Glad to hear of your families new addition xx My new nephew is due in just over 2 weeks!!

    Right.. the weekend...

I am a witch and my name is Mud..

I have stated quite clearly if his sister appears intoxicated in front of my children again I am putting my girls and myself on the train and coming home.. it has been decided she will be taken home immediately.. hahaha.

I have told his mother she needs to protect herself first and his sister won't stop drinking because she likes the attention so while they are all nagging her and dancing attendance it will continue.. and she needs to be sending her home if she is drunk rather than mollycoddling and enabling the behaviour.

OH has a flea in his ear for allowing her to buy 2 bottles of wine he knew she would drink near our girls and therefore behave inappropriately.

The worst part is, I know she does it for attention and I know she loves my girls and if she hurt them because she was ratted she wouldn't forgive herself. I did say she wouldn't have time because I would most likely kill her there and then.. I am good like that :p

So.. we are back in 4 weeks for his mothers birthday and the threat of coming hom will be reiterated and OH WILL back me up if I have to drag him! So, we shall see how it transpires.. if it comes to it we will start paying for his mother to come here once a month and his sister won't see them at all.

Weekend washing done, DW on, babies fed, children at school, DS2 bossed into the shower.. he is 17 !!!!!!!!!! ..

Need to ring GP later for urine results, see what infection we are dealing with!
