I think losing weight is like OPing a mortgage - it's easier to stick at it when you're part of a community alll cheering each other on and tracking each other's stats. That's why this forum helps us with our mortgages, and why turning up to the SW meeting helps with weight loss.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Lois_E you're absolutely right, so back to SW I shall go, after the next week of holidays.
Well, kids have worked their way through the fresh bits in the fridge, so nothing to be binned before we go away.
Woke up in a foul mood with DH this morning as we'd had an accident after he'd failed to properly secure the roof rack on our car, and we're going to lose our no claims bonus and have to pay the excess on car insurance, very understandable to be cross I think, apart from the fact we don't have a roof rack and haven't had an accident, it was all a dream, but I still woke in a bad mood with him and struggled to shake it off. Anyone else experienced that???
Bags packed, dogs gone on their hols to granny and grandad's, house tidied, (why do I feel the need to leave the house imacculate, not like anyone's going to see it)
Money all shuffled to ensure enough on accounts to cover anything going out during the week.
Fingers crossed for some sunshine for one and all.0 -

I think its a bit unfair to be in a mood with your OH because of a dream?! Can you imagine if it would be the other way around, how would you feel if your partner was in a mood with you because of a dream? You'd be upset
Enjoy your holiday. Cant wait for mine in JulyMFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
Hi Bufger, I know what you mean, but it was weird, woke and felt grumpy with him for something that hadn't hapened, slightly odd. Told him about it, and he laughed, bad mood didn't last long, it was just strange waking up on a bad mood like that!0

Well, that was a long vacation!
Ok that's not entirely true. Am sneaking back out of the woodwork, after a ridiculously long break. This is much more for my benefit, than cos I expect anyone to read, but just trying to get back on track again.
Long story short, fell of MSE wagon, bought new (to us) car, kids home for summer hols (expensive time!), several camping trips, (much wine needed!)
Now turned over new leaf, so have done the following in the last few days:
Have inventoried freezer and made a spreadsheet, will meal plan from it and NOT deviate
Paid everything up to date, and may even be in the black for the next few weeks.
Called and got up to date balances for the 2 mortgages, will update sig shortly
Manically de-cluttering and freeing up space, physically and mentally.
Have started vodka kit, glugging away nicely, just got to leave it alone for a bit.
Now just need to spend as little as possible in the next nine and half years and all will be fine:eek:
Anyway, that's me for now, will be back again, with a shorter gap than last time, I promise.

Ok, so sig updated, overall since last done, £2283.86 down, although some areas have faired better than others, and let's not focus too much on the mortgage overdraft :eek::eek:
Still, onwards and downwards...0 -

No, but I remember a friends episode which had something similar. One of them was furious with one of the others (being very vague here I know) and was eventually confronted on it with a demand to know what the heck their problem was. So Friend launches into this big spiel about what they had done and about half way through it their brain catches up with their mouth as they realise that what they are saying is clearly impossible and ends with 'and it was all just a dream wasn't it?'Mini Challenge - Halve 2nd Mortgage by Year EndStarting: £10,000 Currently £8,142.62£3,142.62 to go!0 -
SSS, that made me chuckle.
NSD today (if you don't count £67 in The Range, and a prescription charge)
To be fair, The Range stuff was all very planned and useful, storage items and pre-winter stuff.
Very important day tomorrow, pay day :j:j:jMuch expected in the way of over payments.
Have plumber coming to price up swapping some small old inefficient radiators for some small new hopefully efficient rads. I bought the rads 10+ years go, thought it about time they got installed, although don't like to rush these things. A bit like the flat packed chairs currently being assembled some 9 years ago.
Hey ho, getting there slowly.
more waffle soon,

Morning.
Another month whizzed by, where did that go?
Weekend was relatively low spend, emergency dash to shop for more milk last night, cue son wanting large mars bar, he spent ages trying to find one that wasn't snapped into 2 pieces, before I pointed out they were called Mars Duo as they contain 2 small bars!
Monthly shuffles and payments done, bar the loan repayment for September which will take place later in month.
Have updated sig again and added new line showing total owing and provisional freedom date. Hope to see that move a bit each month.
Back to normal getting up time today and tomorrow in anticipation of Wednesday's back to school timetable.
Car booked in for new cam belt, expensive but necessary procedure.
No electricity here Weds for the day, will have to go out and not spend too much.
Right more tea needed, back later.0
