What options does she have open to her? Perhaps we might be more sympathetic if you explained. At the moment it sounds like you think this woman is a wicked witch and your son can do no wrong - which is clearly not the case.0 -
Will just add the ex who without my sons Knowledge has another man sleeping in his bed...0

Why are you paying any of the utility bills? That's just foolish.
Why should she pay rent? She's your son's (albeit ex) partner who is entitled to expect the father to provide some support for the child he had with her. A reasonable person could see providing housing for their child as an adequate substitute for actual financial support.
If she's not working then she's entitled to claim benefits as a single person with no income because that's precisely what she is, a single person with no income. Unless he's providing income from the proceeds of the crime he committed.
He should be thanking his lucky stars that they're not looking to confiscate his property under that "Proceeds of Crime" legislation that drug-dealers can find themselves at the end of.0 -

She has now changed her mind and decided that she will stay in the house abd tole my son ( not suggested) that on release he can come live with me.. We are also aware that there is a new man on the horizon...we have not told my son of this as he has enough to deal with
As for The Crime..he knows what devastation he left behind...He comes from a close knit Family...he pays the price every day ..
The Son has been through enough... She should not be ripping him away from a part of his Family who spent most of life with....0 -
I remember this story, she is using her child as a meal ticket! Get her out hard and fast with witnesses preferably police. We would all love to live rent free with no bills to pay but there is such a thing as reality.
Can you not change the bills to her name or if all else fails and hound her for rent then go through establishing her as a squatter if she doesn't pay?
OP's son committed an unrelated crime but two wrongs don't make a right and some people on here are obviously trolling for some kind of perverse satisfaction.
Get her out!0 -
Honestly.... What a stinkin' attitude towards a service that protects us from many things and comes to us when in need, you have a son that's been in prison and broken various laws. Maybe you should have spent more time teaching your son right from wrong rather than kicking the police. It's embarrassing to read and echos Jeremy Kyle.
What your son is experiencing is Karma. Maybe he will learn some lessons and how to survive without cultivating drugs, as the majority of the population.
I assume he didn't pay Tax or NI on his 'profits'.... :rotfl:
I think the biggest issue here is the poor child who deserves better from both of their parents. They sound as awful as each other.0 -

She is not ripping him away from his family, she is suggesting he lives with you!
I don't understand why you think she (and your grandchild) should have to move into her parents, so that he can have a house to himself?
Have you looked at helping her get the benefits she is entitled to? She may well be able to claim for help with the mortgage interest.0 -
