    Evening

Today I am under budget :D:D
I went to Wagamama for dinner before going to the theatre and only spent £13. My budget was £15, so I have put £2 in my sealed tin :)

    total = £14/£65

Tomorrow I am going out for lunch with friends as well as out for dinner:eek: so I may go over budget, but I have no plans to spend any more money until Saturday so should still be OK for the week overall.

    I will be back tomorrow.

  • Morning everyone

    Sunday - petrol £20, groceries £27.39. Ooops.
    Monday - NSD

So far so good. Have checked cinema prices and it seems to be £5.30 which is better than I was expecting. Going to a little cheapy shop for popcorn, usually around 80p- £1. And a can of drink , maybe 60p, so hoping to spend no more than £7.50. Which I guess when it's normally about that to just go to the cinema is ok.

Well I couldn't get on here last night so I sat and worked out a rough budget for the next year as i'll be on maternity and I'm not good with change so need to know now what my money will look like. And how much I still need to save over the next 4-5 months to be able to take a year off. It's not pretty reading. :D and I know it makes me sound a bit sad. But I now have a bit of a plan and feel a little calmer. :D

I love how everyone is coming back daily/ almost daily to update, I think it really helps to keep everyone motivated.

32b3 - well done on staying under budget for your dinner. It's always difficult to have a budget for a meal and still find something in the menu that you want.

MissE001 - what a pain about the toiletries, bet you were

Beth - oooo I love rainbow drops, might see if I can get those for the cinema too. Although not many places seem to sell them anymore.

Well done to everyone getting the NSD's and those staying under budget.

    First post updated to here.

  • ETO enjoy the cinema :) Im like you, i often sit down and go through my finances, have worked out up to the end of this year, obviously if Tax credits or work changes then it messes it all up lol But i think with the likes of maternity pay you need to be prepared don't you! :)

I get my Rainbow drops from Home Bargains for 34p a big bag lol no good for my diet though :/

I am getting quite sick of my husband robbing around £1.20 off me each day for his lunch lol Doesn't he realise im trying to budget :p

Will update later with what i spent, but £1.20 has already gone to hubby lol Downside of having change and him not wanting to take a note out the cashpoint :)
  • Okay so I'm gonna have to purchase some soya milk from the shop on the way home but I will not, repeat, will not buy anything else. *fingers crossed*

I hope no chocolate bars jump into my hand while I'm walking round.
