I too have been trying to contact Sky to cancel, was on phone yesterday for ages and had to pay for the trouble and all I got was a miserly £5 reduction for 3 months. Trying to get an email address for them is impossible, their email on site is down so cant use that. Anyone got an email address I can use to cancel. Sky really do not appreciate loyalty new customers get much better deals.

Of course new customer get better deals. Why would they discount existing customers unless they actually give notice? Too many customers cry wolf.
Once you give notice, retentions will contact you.

I gather they are feeling the squeeze, and both they and Virgin are finding Premium TV is no longer the draw it once was - Freeview/Freesat is now providing a worthwhile alternative, and they are doing all they can to retain their customers - and ploys like 'you must phone' to cancel, is arrogantly disrespectful - if you write, and keep a copy, you have done all that is required to end your relationship.

Of course, if you foolishly gave them a DDM to help themselves from your bank account, they will continue to do so - so as you pay in advance, cancel in tandem with your billing date and delete the DDM so no further payments can be taken - it makes it easier when there are no part months to deal with.

I gave in and phoned them this morning, the first number of saynoto0870.com said I'd have to contact customer services on 0844xxxxx I asked for a land line number as that was a premium and was told they didn't have one. Checked saynoto0870.com and within seconds had 02071267020. called that one and just kept saying 'I want to cancel' 8 times, questions such as 'do you watch tv, is it financial, I need a reason to continue?' etc while he was clicking away I had to get back to work so asked him to confirm cancellation and said a quick bye, just emailed again to confirm I'll cancel direct debit. He said it was his job to ask me these questions, I just kept saying cancel please. Definate stalling tactics from sky...beware! now to wait and see if they try to take any more money off me.
