I did manage to get the kitchen and dining room sorted whilst DH and DS were swimming.

Also I have baked some oaty raisin biscuits and a dozen banana muffins, but I'm still in my PJ's!

Better get the draining board of washing up dried and put away and then check out that menu plan.
Then tackle the ironing and get dressed at some point too!

Bit drizzly here so the swimming gear will have to be draped over airers indoors to dry.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Well the baking is done - chocolate and banana cookies!! Taken the kids to park so LO now sleeping which means I have finished kitchen floor, sorted & cleaned fridge and done my 27 fling - no boogie though as didn't want to waken him!

A massage sounds good lilme - have never had one but have had facials that included a shoulder massage - bliss!

Chance would be a fine thing now!

Welcome all the newbies - I am on my third week now and love this thread - everyone is so friendly, it's a real motivator xx

:( Just sent dh out to buy a pudding for tonight - I've burnt the b***** pastry for my strawberry tart!! I just can't do pastry........ I don't think the oven is on my side either as it keeps burning the *******!! stuff!!

I feel better now......... i'll go do something constructive like finishing the washing, ironing and replacing the bedclothes (Monday is bed clothes changing day in our house)

    See you later!

right then, been doing bits and bats all day and resting myself and "my bump" in between. I think because of posting on here it motivated me to get up after each rest and keep plodding on so suprised how much I got done :)

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room Level One
Clean floors-swept and hoovered and hubby has promised to mop after tea
    Level Two
Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky-done
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces -done
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round-done
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)-done, and cleared first as this is a bit of a hotspot in our house. DS was so pleased he went and got all his starwars lego and spread out to play on the table lol.

So mostly done levels 1 and 2.
Also washed and hung 1 load of washing out to dry and washed a further load, first lot just about dry when rain started so brought in quick, rest will have to wait till tomorrow or till I can get hubby to lift airer down from wardrobe. But at least school uniforms are ready :)
Due to DS birthday yesterday had a busy weekend and had washing up from saturday tea onwards (hang my head in shame) which is all now done :)
Mince beef stew thing I do for the kids in oven and smells lovely, just need to do some spuds to go with it mmmmmmmmm.
Decided to try just living off the freezer and cupboards for rest of the month as very low on funds after both DS and DD birthdays in the last week. Going away for 1 week on the 21st but just in a caravan and the money is earmarked for that anyway and hubbies pay is midmonth. The less we spend now the more treats we can have on hol, hence frozen mince beef stew :)

:j Proud of myself - we had a barbecue yesterday, which was quite an achievement with a nearly seven week old baby. I tried to do it flybaby stylee, ie list of jobs, break it down, decide what was essential and what was desirable if I could - it worked! Really successful. Now, if I can only apply this method to my job (teaching) when I return in September, that would be a huge achievement.....
