LO's ear infection is back with a vengeance. Or rather, the antibiotics probably didn't get rid of it. She's miserable, cries at night, clings to me and there's yellow goo :(

That's a bit worrying :(. Back to the quack's, I feel. Ear infections are so painful, poor little babe.

  • Looking lovely ladies! I really so need to start making an effort - even my lovely oh who is adament I look my best first thing in the morning and always has done asked when I was going to 'get back to normal' I haven't worn make up, straightened my hair or dressed up since I had lil miss and I think he's worried about me when truth be told is I just can't be bothered lol. Will get back into it from tomorrow onwards as I do genuinely feel better when I make an effort and 6 months in I don't really have any excuse not too lol.

I went out today by myself for the first time, only to the post office to renew my licence but I came back to the 2 of them laughing away and munching on a nectarine so feel a lot better about doing it again, small steps and all that lol.

Hope everyone is well and we have lots of bubbas sleeping at night! x

Top tip: never wear make-up then no one notices when you don't. And drink lots of wine - it seems to have restorative properties for me :D

Top banana for going out... like you say, small steps.

I keep saying I'll have a drink but tbh I haven't had any drink since 1st April last year (positive test on the 2nd following a massive session the day before :o ) and I'm too nervous - how stupid does that sound?

I have been out and treated myself to new make up so I can at least stick some on when I leave the house - the old days of full face and hair done whatever my days plans are are long gone, I have a lil lady who thinks I'm wonderful even with wild woman hair so I'm happy with that lol.

Nutella - hope your little lady is better soon, ear infections are horrid, poor mite!

I have to say I never bounced back after having kids and i had dd when i was 23! always nic make up on, heels and fitted clothes and a size 8.
After DD i only covered up with concealer for dark circles, went back to size 10 from 12 and trainers and jeans became my best friends. So much that when i started working (dd1 was 7 months) i was taking the school bus!! i kid you not, until the driver told me in one ocassion cos i went on with money to pay for my fare..... the joys of being a foreigner and petite girl with a ruksack...
this time around( 28). ok not wearing pj for 3 months ?But still only using concealer, trainers and jeans... only dress up for very special ocassions, i bet my oh thinks i tricked him. ?Thank goodness i have medium olive skin so dont look dead.

I'm fed up of this bedtime stuff. Dewi fell asleep after a feed at 7.30 last night. He fed at 11.30, 5.30 and woke for the day at 8. Tonight... he fell asleep after a feed at 8 so I put him to bed. Well 10 min later he wakes screaming, has all of the other boob, needs winding, burps beautifully, sicks on himself and will not settle. !!!!!!!?

Thanks ladies :) If she's no better tomorrow I'm taking her to a GP walk-in centre that's open at weekends. We're supposed to meet up with a friend that I haven't seen since before Christmas, so I'd loathe to have to cancel that, but needs must - little lady comes first :o

DayDreamBeliever - my little girl thinks wild woman hair is hilarious. Preferably when I shake my head so that it's all over my face - she just won't stop giggling!

I've had a productive evening - done two loads of laundry and put away another one, changed the bed sheets, cleaned the bathroom and toilet and done the washing up. Am now having a coffee (decaf at this time of the day...) and a chocolate mousse - yum! Off to bed in a minute though - hope everyone has a good night x
