I want a kiddicare
Lol
The suit came from ebay! Great customer service and the vest should fit him for about 6 months and the size up lasts a good year0 -
Yikes, Reuben is trying to stand independently!!! He did it in the bath last night but no idea how long he would have lasted as OH grabbed him quick before he slipped!!!! But today he's been walking across the living room pushing his walker, and when he stands up against the settee or pouffe he's not really holding on, more just resting one hand on it.
We went swimming today, tried a new pool closer to home which was crapso looks like I'm stuck with the one half an hour drive away .... But it is good!!
Reuben slept 7:30 til 6:30 last night - fingers crossed this continues!!!
He went 36hrs with no booby milk too - I did wonder if this was the end, but he has been back to a feed for breakfast and one before bed today. Only about 5 mins for each though - i suspect it wont be long before he doesn't want it any more, *gulp*0 -
Clever Reuben - won't be long before he's running around! And as for the BF - he obviously knows you're going back to work soon...0

Gilly, I meant to reply to your question about things to do in London. If it's a nice and sunny day, one lovely thing to do is take a boat trip on the Thames from Westminster Pier to Greenwich. Takes half an hour or so, is reasonably priced and you get to see London from a different angle. Greenwich is lovely and just made for wandering around - beautiful old buildings, an interesting market full of all sorts of weird and wonderful stalls, and a really nice park with deer at the back! Walk up the hill and visit the observatory - home of Greenwich Mean Time - and have lunch at the cafe, or even better: bring a picnic. It's a fab (and cheap!) day out0

Ooh london... I love the science museum. If it's a nice day the parks are fabulous, esp. St James, Kensington Gardens and parts of Regent's Park. I enjoyed Madame Tussauds, despite myself, but it is super expensive. I also enjoyed the Tower of London, you can spend all day in there though and should to get the most bang for your buck (crown jewels?).0

I think there are 2 for 1 on at Madame Tussauds somewhere. I love MTs I've been there 3 times. You could go look in Harrods and Selfridges at loads of really expensive stuff you'll never need to buy?Got married 13/11/10

Morocha, my lo started to be in the jumperoo at 14-15 weeks, but by then she could hold her head very well for long periods and was kicking her legs a lot in her bouncer. think you should go to the show, it's just for a few hours and maybe J cannot stay with other people because she knows you are nearby and ready to pick her up? I regret now allowing my lo set her ways with regard to bouncing to sleep or not being able to stay on her bouncer whilst I do things without having to move the bouncer within a feet distance. I did it all for a good reason at the time and because I suffer if she cries, but I know I created my own problem and if I knew earlier what I know now, I would have put up with a bit of crying back then when she was still a newborn, now she's more aware of everything and it feels harder. However, I am already doing changes, because I also think that it will be better to get some cries now and solve it, than when she's 8-9 months, for example. What I mean is, if you don't want that behaviour to continue and it is an issue for you, the sooner you get her used to something different, the better. I am reading the baby whisperer book to start her gentle sleep training as soon as I finish it, and I know it will be hard, but I also know it will bring happiness to the three of us if she can self settle, because she's getting heavy and I'm having back and hip pain already for 3h of bouncy walk each day.
So glad babies are feeling better! I dread the time when mine will be poorly, but I guess the time will come!
So jealous of that kiddicare meeting!!! I really need to meet other mums and babies.I went to baby clinic today to get her weighted and it just happens that it was the first time she was there awake in the waiting area, she had not seen a baby before and gosh, I don't know what she thought, but I got close to a smiley baby with her aand she pulled the bottom lip and had an emotional cry for about half an hour. Every time she calmed down for a millisecond, she kind if started all over again, so I ended up just leaving! I need to get into a baby group or whatever. Anyone wanting to meet around Manchester??
I'm jealous of all those who sleep more than three hours uninterrupted sleep!!! Lol
I'd love to go swimming with my lo, that pic looks brill.
I have resorted to having a bath with her so I get more time in there and I can actually wash my hair!! I have the tippitoes bath and I put it inside the big one. I fill hers and I just use the shower head on my side so the bath does not turn into a boat! But she is loving to play there now, I scoop out water when it gets colder and adds more warm water to prolong the bath a bit. It's giving me a bit of relaxing time back! I tried the shower together but I don't like doing it without my DH because of the getting in or out all slippery, but now I put her first in her bath, and I go out before getting her out too, so it feels safer.
I know I had more replies but I have forgotten, sorry if I'm missing something!!
And please someone convince fluff to come back!!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

a quick question here, anybody got a 16week old baby? would u take her/him to a show ? you see i have booked three tickets to walking with dinosaurs show in Liverpool next month, J will be 16 weeks.
Im torn between taking her (shes free of charge) in, giving my ticket to nanny or asking her to babysit but it is unlikely, J is 12 weeks and extremely clingy, will no go with anyone more than 15 min. And Liverpool is like 2.5 hs from home.0 -
Just a quicky - I love the ladybird bag too...pointed it out as potential purchase for the future to OH who asked if we could get her the brown dinosaur one....erm....no!!
Gilly - train tickets usually mean loads of 2for1 in London if you google it I'm sure you'll get a website that shows where you can get 2for 1. I loved covent garden as its so quirky. We also killed a bit if time sitting in the sunshine in one of the parks. Tower of London is a must for me too. Enjoy! I have been twice as a child & once as an adult and think its ace !0
