Whey, L2 has paid (a day early, she's such a total sweetie) and hopefully L1 will have by now set up an automated payment and I'll get it tomorrow.
Also, my Nationwide £50 needs taking care of, so I'll move it to a savings account. Getting there!
Fingers crossed that I can bring my total net value down to -£3,200 - that's possible if I spend max £200 on food and £250 on all other discretionary spends, including drinks, coffees, meals out, clothes and cosmetics. No hairdresser this month, thank goodness. Hopefully it's doable. I'll know very soon!

Well, I've started this month's food economising drive.
I've set aside £200 for food/supermarket shops until I get paid again, and £250 for all other discretionary spending.
So far I have spent:
Food £32.49/£200
Other: £4.68/£250
The idea is that the boundaries between those two are fluid, but the total is not. So, if I want to spend more on food, I can't then have as many meals out, or buy clothes or cosmetics. Let's hope that works!!!
I'm going to stick it in my signature to motivate me.
In dating news, the Spanish date from two weekends ago has asked me to dinner tomorrow night ...this morning! Bit of a last minute arrangement. I don't think at all that he's playing games, but would rather have more notice and more than anything, I'd rather stay in on Friday night! Can't be bothered going out! I'm guessing I wouldn't be saying that if I really liked him. why am I so hard to please! Really annoyed and fed up with myself and dating. But I had a great chat with him, so am going to go. Will report on progress. If any.
Well, so I have spent most of today on working out my finances.
seems that i can reach the following debt neutral milestones
end of Feb 76.45%
end of March 90.83%
end of April 105.02%
a little give in my figures too. Fingers crossed!
in the spirit of moneysaving, i have put chicken pieces in a marinade, thats at least three meals there. Very happy. I have bought lots of Skyr yoghurts; they are incredibly protein-rich and really keep me going. Lots of frozen salmon in the freezer, and have discovered a nice sauce for it, the chef ottolenghi had it on his website. Yumster.

Bit of a sleepless night, but I've updated YNAB and it made me smile, as where it shows you your net worth, it current,y shows -£1880. Next month it will actually show a positive balance!
Though that's obviously a cheat, since none of my bills have gone out yet but you've got to look at the positives!
An added bonus is that the next couple of months are going to be spent writing up for uni. So less going out and spending. I think I can crack the back of this debt!! Grr!
Time for a coffee and a read of cognitive development textbooks! (Thankfully they are available online, no spend!)
