If I lost my job, I'd then be at home for a little bit while I am looking for a new one, so that's something to look forward to! A holiday!and that's not a bad thing.
No, that's not a bad thing! A break to relax and reassess things. But I really hope it doesn't come to that for you. No point in stressing though, its a waste of energy which is better focused on debt busting / savings building.Debt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500

But on Monday 19th is my mini payday (L2) so something to look forward to! Then I can pay off the card on 21st.
How many days till Real Pay day? 12 tomorrow!
That must mean only 10 days for Ena. Defo a celebration there! :T  :T
Haha correct! 10 days for me tomorrow.......in touching distance
Woohoo, love all your paydays. I want a lodger for that 2nd payday feeling
And congratulations on the uni work submission and the mortgage approval. What a good day after a bad day on Tuesday. :TDebt Apr 15 - £6895.44Apr 17 - £2500

Morning me dears.
Here I am, at my desk at work since 7.30 am.
I am very pleased with myself re many things and need to hold on to those! (Thanks Ena for being positive!)
The mortgage is good news as is the submission. We still don't know about work, will find out more on Tue next week, though I shouldn't think that will be much at that stage. Cross that bridge when I come to it.
Had a few slip ups with the diet, but back on it today! I think I may need to go on my French diet again, start making the soup and taking it in to work. Think I may try to do that tonight and then portion it up and freeze individual containers. That will definitely make me feel better!
I'll go for a run tonight after work, which will be a good thing to do, and will make me feel better.* * * Catriona's Credit Card Countdown * * * from -£16k to debt neutraldom - for my debt diary click here

10 days till pay day for you today! 12 days for me. Gosh how the time flies!
I cannot wait for pay day this month, in truth I had overspent on clothes (clothes budget is v tight so it's not a difficult thing to do) and am now struggling. Won't be doing that again soon.
Hope I won't go into chargeable overdraft on my account. Trying to make sure I'm left with some money at the end of the month, but not succeeding greatly. Still the debt is coming down and my savings are going up!

Hi Catriona,
I've spend the morning reading your diary - you have come massively far especially in the past year, congratulations!
I did groan a little in my head when your ex re-appeared, I do hope he is treating your nicely!
You have done really well putting yourself out there, and enjoying meeting new people. I have been single for 7 years, had the shock of my life with DD's dad and just haven't quite managed to get past it. Still, I am content, DD is happy and that's all that mattersMFW

Blimey, early bird catches the worm! :T
I am a worrier, although I'm getting better, so I'm probably not the best person to say, don't worry about your job.Whatever will happen, will happen. There's no point in worrying yourself. Hold on to the positives and like you say, cross that bridge if and when.

Hello Bellevie,
Thanks for popping by, reading, and being encouraging.
I think the best decision re debt was the 2nd lodger, now things are moving forward.
The ex is a worry to me too. I really don't know what to do, because as much as I'm really trying to date, all the men I seem to be meeting are really disorganised and "laid back", "live with mum and dad at 39" types. I don't have a high level of tolerance for a complete lack of ambition and get turned off by men who appear to expect to come from their parents providing for them to a girlfriend doing that for them. My friend keeps telling me that those are the ones who are left over, the indecisive type. Annoying. At least my ex isn't like that.
Also my ex husband was a wonderful man and I've not met anyone who would come close to what he was like. Frustrating.
But my ex boyfriend and I see eye to eye on many things, and I've been thinking, given what my experience has been with other men (the coasting type), that maybe he is the best option. Also, since I am my age and through my experiences I have changed and am not as flexible as I was when I was meeting my husband at 20, my ex boyfriend and I have had a more difficult time together. I am used to the kind of relationship my husband and I had, ano one way or another still expect what I was getting in my marriage.
You seem to me to be very positive and your relationship with your daughter is fab. What do you mean by you had the shock of your life? Life's twists and turns, eh?* * * Catriona's Credit Card Countdown * * * from -£16k to debt neutraldom - for my debt diary click here
