None via agencies but all via the companies direct after filling in mega application forms. Must have been my supporting statment that dazzled them! Haha
Prob wont get any but at least it will get me out the house :rotfl:

Have a positive attitude. I work full time but still apply for jobs, mainly in the prison service. Last one I attended in York I went with a positive attitude but did my home work before I went. I made a fact to know all the laws regarding the job I applied for (even though I had been out of that particular role for 5 years), all the rules and regs.
Actually when I attended the interview it was a bit scary not had a interview for many many years but after a few minutes I settled in and actually liked the experience. During conversations with the 3 interviewers I learned little bits of their life style and included these in my interview, for example, one had a gold pin on this jacket, so I mentioned in my hobbies that I was a golfer and member of a club.
The interview went sound. I didn't get the job because they thought I had been out of the profession too long. I wouldn't have taken the job anyway. I have a interview in York again at a different prison in March and another in Boston at North Sea Camp. I will not take the York even if offered and the boston one well its 140 miles from my home but interesting for me. A little !!!!!!!!ting this time wont go far wrong. See what happens.
Just be positive and do all your homework prior to the interview. Dot the 'I's and cross the 't's you should be okAll the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -

I have prepared already - I am on top of it. I know I am the right person for at least one of them.cockaleekee wrote: »You need to change this attitude - why won't you get them? Prepare well for the interviews, go with the attitude that you are the right person for the job, and they might just agree with you!
They probably haven't realised I am not wokring and when they do that will be it, but you never know. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Turn this into a positive, you don't have to give notice so can start immediately, where as they may need to wait 1-3 months for someone working.0 -

Why bother wasting your and the interviewers time going after jobs you don't intend to accept?0 -

Glad to hear your good news, you must have something they like/want or they wouldn't invite you for an interview. My advice, for what it's worth, do your homework, relax, be honest and most of all be yourself.
Hopefully you'll be back on next week asking which job you should accept.0 -
Great new OP, I had a rejection email yesterday from a job I never even applied for let alone interview for.
Good luck with the interviews I am sure you'll get one of the three.0 -
This is proof that companies that advertise direct and read all applications are the only way the unemployed will get a job since ALL the interviews I have had have been direct with the company and none at all EVER (even when I was in work) were via agencies.pompeyrich wrote: »Glad to hear your good news, you must have something they like/want or they wouldn't invite you for an interview. Ah if offered all 3? Haha well the one with the biggest ££
One is a supervisors role in Hammersmith, one is a 7 mth contract in Greenwich and the other is in Southwark just as a finance officer, so we will see. We’ve had to remove your signature. Not sure if it is "proof", 2 of my last 3 jobs were gained through an agency, I was working my notice period prior to redundancy, so not technically unemployed and the agency concerned specialise in my type of work.
They passed on info on what the employer wanted, based on having met them, they helped with my CV and boosted my confidence.
Like any service providor, there are good and bad, I've had great, average and absolute rubbish treatment from different agencies so wouldn't want people to dismiss agencies out of hand. Any lead is a good lead, whether it be from the paper, an agency or direct from the employer, the trick is keep trying and in the end you will get "lucky".0
