Ebay not helping after being scammed

Thanks to all who have contributed and to those with their 'holier-than-thou' attitude i hope you never get scammed and get told i 'told you so' by forum members when you come for advice to rectify the situation and no be preached to what you shouldn't have done!!!0 -

They are not obliged to provide the information, of course. But they would be allowed to under the DPA in such circumstances.0 -

As already stated - the request must come from the courts or police.
The OP wrote to Ebay direct - they will not respond to such requests, due to data protection laws.0
