AVG Can't connect to update

    Good news. Today AVG on both my PCs updated automatically and also am able to view the AVG forum website. :-)
    Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D

    Thanx I thought that might be the case. I couldnt tell myself as I unistalled it and put Avast on instead but I checked the avg forum and could get on that so I thought it might have cleared up now.

    I don't know if I'll put AVG back or not on here Avast is not quite so simple to use and you can't schedule scans but it just feels better I'll keep it for a while longer then decide :)

    I'm on NTL and no problems with AVG updating on any of our PCs.

    We think it was a regional problem in Nottingham area to do with Virgin media bb but its ok now

    Probably their transparent proxy. You can usually get past this by specifying an alternative NTL proxy. Robin Walker's site is good for showing you how to do this.

    Glad it's fixed now anyway.
