AVG Can't connect to update

Strange, Thats normally what Ive had to do when sorting out recent problems with AVG not updating on other peoples computers.

Try update again, otherwise Im stumped.

Thanx I keep trying it but it stays the same, I've tried doing everything else too spywareblaster enabling and dissabling, spybot, adaware, ccleaner etc just nothing changes it. The avg free forum isnt working either for some reason

I have tried to go to the forum through the link on the grisoft site but it always tells me that explorer cannot display the page so if others are getting on there I don't understand why

Thankyou, I have already tried all that though, I don't use proxys and the zone alarm was set before to allow avg and it still is now. Do you think it would help to do a role back thing on the win xp I've never done one before but it was working fine yesterday morning it updated itself as usual at the scheduled time then suddenly sometime in the day it changed

you could try a system restore, and if it doesn't fix it, you can always undo it.

don't think so. I have trouble updating on two computers. I am with NTL and was wondering if that may be the problem? Who are you with?

No I didn't fix the problem, was very tempted to instal avast but I just want to see if the problem actually gets fixed first, then I still want to try Avast

I'm with virgin media too. I had thought of that as a possibility but there are a lot of people on virgin media so perhaps there would be more people with the problem unless its an area thing, I'm Nottingham area. Another thing is some people may not have noticed yet with it being bank holiday, I only noticed on Saturday because I tried to manually update later in the day aswell as auto update in the morning

Another weird thing is I can get on the grisoft site but if I try to link to the free forum it always tells me internet explorer cannot view the page, thats another reason I wondered if its to do with virgin media because other people I've asked can all view the forum
