that sounds like a good plan and a good way to go for a while to see if it works, i find planning the day ahead can really make a difference to my mindset and my day, i also re-run the day i have just had in my head before going to bed so that i can mentally tick it off

I find it makes a huge difference to my state of mind if I plan and prepare in advance. Hmm, or maybe I feel more able to plan and prepare in advance if I am in a good state of mind. that is the bit I can't get. does planning change my mind or does my mind change my planning?
For example this week am working super late each night rushing off to a wedding and then seeing the man. Although I am looking forward to the end of the week the idea that have no time between now and Saturday is just awful to me (pathetic)
so I am here filling diary, ordering gifts, panicking generallyNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Not pathetic; I really do get it.
Bf can fill his days with things and he enjoys his life that way. If I have several significant things to do in quick succession, or I have several days where I have plans, I feel overwhelmed and anxious.
And yes, when I have too much to do, I freeze and do nothing productive at all. Good stuff Buffy
I can understand why you don't want to get into big things in this diary. When I start thinking about big stuff, my brain can go like a turbine engine - I swear smoke should be coming out of my ears at times!
Take care

Ooh, I so get this too. If I have too much to do, I completely panic/freeze and don't do anything. My house was in such a complete state about a month ago, I was totally overwhelmed and not doing anything. I spoke to my brother who said that he also gets like that sometimes, but he says he doesn't look at 'everything' he has to do, he just sets himself a tiny target like 'I will tidy up for 10 minutes'. He said that you almost always end up doing more than your target and you've made progress.
My instinct when faced with a massive task is to look at everything I need to do and try to prioritise it, but I think if the looking at everything totally overwhelms you, you never get to the prioritisation, let alone the 'doing'. With your 3 things that's really what you're doing here Buffy, so well done you. I had to get my brother to tell me this!
