I work in the NHS so we have a smoking cessation officer who can prescribe for us;) . Your GP can prescribe Champix too. Will try to keep you all up to date on my progress with this "Wonder Drug" :rotfl: just have to get my head around picking a date to quit next week and sticking to it;) Working in a hospital I should know better;)

steveymp, I have friends in health service and they are the worst! Where I lived before I had a lot of friends who were nurses and doctors and they used to smoke all the time! I see my GP regularly for a condition - she knows I smoke and hasn't said anything about it (probably thought I had enough to deal with) and the other day I told her that I was trying to give up ... she didn't make any comment, not even encouraged me which I thought was odd!

There's more nurses outside the hospital smoking than patients.

It's bizarre.

Them seeing people die of cancer would encourage them not to smoke you'd have thought.
