I'd just like to say well done to everyone. :T My 76yo dad hasn't had a cigarette for 13 weeks and i'm very proud of him. He's smoked since he was a child (first fag at 8!!, regular smoking at 14) and if he can do it then anybody can.

today is my one year anniversary of not smoking (after 20 a day for 15 years)
im going shopping for a prize to award myself for something i thought i would never be able to do (nobody else thought i could do it either...except my OH, he needs an award too for encouraging and helping me through the really hard moments)

if the giving up for good thing freaks you out (as it did me) just remember the mantra that got me through....
I cant say my habit is gone forever, but i know i will NOT smoke today, and probably wont tomorrow either

good luck to everyone else giving up, and staying strong vibes to those already trying

Hopefully a confident non-smoker by then.

Let's just hope my mates don't start smoking (my best ones - some of my mates do already smoke but I don't go out with them.)
