I'm here - thanks for the heads up TNG :) but not doing very well at all. Figured you must all be sick of me harping on about how I want to give up but continually battle with Mr Teen. I'm on 5 - 6 a day still, and certainly don't enjoy it, just can't shake it off. And that's all it is, shaking it off. Doesn't bother me during the day, but come end of the day it's like a reward.

Been investigating Paul McKenna and Mark Jordan on a recommendation anyone any success ?
Paul McKenna is very famous :)
Tried Alan Carr but his approach is not for me to be honest

At the risk of repeating my story I stopped via Allen Carr April 2006, found it the easiest thing to do. Lived a happy smoke free life for 4 months without a single yearning to smoke. Felt awesome, relaxed and coped with situations easily. House was spotless had loads of energy, even my mild psoriasis started to clear. Became an Allen Carr disciple, telling everyone how brilliant his method is !

August last year, warm evening, couple of lagers in the garden and had 'just one'. Back on 20 a day within the month.

Tried to stop again via Neil Casey (found him confusing) and more Allen Carr. I'm easily led and think Allen Carr made so much sense first time round, but it seems I can't be 'brainwashed' on the same thing twice. Been trying since March.

Since I started my new job in June I've cut down to 6 a day, been a secret smoker, had several no-smoke days, but I'm just not consistent.
I know this is all in my head, and reflecting on how I felt when I stopped why am I putting myself through this disgusting habit when I could feel physically and mentally so much better ?

    Morning Jo,

Why not, next time you have a smoke free day, try and have another one the next day. No pressure, don't think 'I'm never smoking again', just see if you can make one day into 2 etc etc.

Keep on the thread and let us know how you're doing :D
