The Giving Up Smoking Thread!!

Well I put the patch on today, step one this morning. I was on 40+ a day and so far I have smoked less than 10

I've also told myself not to take my cigs to bed with me :eek: don't know how i'll manage! So far, saving today ££7.50.

So not 'stopped' as in quit, but really cut down feels like I'm only lighing up because I'b bored.

Off to change my cig...looking forward to seein how much money I've saved by puffing away :mad:

ida - no one is 'quitting' or 'giving up' anything. Maybe we should come up with a phrase for stopping that has positive connotations, rather than the negatives ones that everyone uses.

ermmm, I can't think of one (its too early. Need coffee ). Anyone?

I really want to change the name of this thread as I agree the term 'giving up' is quite a negative term, what do you all reckon? People might not know it's the same thread though and ignore it?

How are we all this morning?

Went out with the work crowd last night, we went bowling then to a carp restaurant in Surrey Quays. All you can smell in the bowling place is mouldy carpets now that there's no smoke lingering about and I'm not sure I like it :eek:

DFW's don't say "I'm giving up Debt", do they? Something along the same lines, maybe....

What were the sig choices that Martin came up with for DFWs? We could plagiarise and paraphrase one of those
