Hello hope everyone's spending is looking good so far this month.

Have been to A1di this morning and spent £34.21 as well as food this includes laundry liquid, 4 cans of beer for DH (dont often buy but at £2.49 for 4 its alot cheaper than 4 pints at the local which would be £12.40) also some flowers to take up to the cemeterary so all in all not bad.
Have around half the budget still left so doing really well as only 10 more days but being ill has made this possible.

We are having fish cakes tonight as I found two pieces of fish in the freezer one smoked one not. Potatoes are boiling as I type. We have about a 1/4 of a sack of potatoes left but they are begining to sprout a lot - first bag to do this for ages - but they will get eaten even so.
Should be a NSD tomorrow and then will need fruit & veg on Saturday.
    MARCH £62.38/250

    Hi everyone,

NSD yesterday and today. Was meant to go for lunch with a neighbour but she cancelled. Keeps cancelling so it's becoming a bit  as I set aside a day and then it never happens. Oh well, better for my purse at least!

Dinner last night was roasted gammon, mash and cauli with cheese sauce mmmmm. Half the cooked joint is now frozen to have with pasta and cheese sauce another time.

Dinner tonight is chicken curry - using a Sharw**ds jar that I ordered for the scouts in error - I thought it was mango chutney but it contains mango chutney - should've gone to specsaver$ :rotfl:

Thanks K9 for the heads up re: the A!di voucher. I picked up the paper when I went to the Post Office. Planning to shop there tomorrow after the school run.

    Epic post, sorry folks!

I'd love to grow my own but never know what can be grown in Tubs or not. We only have a concrete yard and not sure how well anything would do in it lol scared of the foxes or next doors cat getting it. X

Not an expert but most things can be grown in pots I have done runner beans (very large pot, no holes line bottom with newspaper and if possible proper soil or a mix of soil and compost - runner beans need a lot of water and don't like to dry out) have also grown lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, radishes and many other things try and find book titles on amazon on growing veg in containers then borrow them from the library to read

  • Evening all -just in to update Sigy - £50.95 spent this week which wasn't bad considering I had to go to ald*, asd*' tesc* and icel*nd!
Yeah I seem to have stopped picking up non-essentials :T This frugal shopping is starting to become a habit -even if it does mean visiting four shops for their various bargains.

Another small bit to put towards holiday dollars :T
