Well back from our few days away, have just gone through the freezer, cupboards and bare fridge and made a list of what we have in so can meal plan and decide what we need to buy in x

Tomorrow's tea is looking like pulled pork, bubble and squeak cakes and beans.

    Over £50 spent already

Needed flour, milk, spread and potatoes so had to do some shopping today. Also ended up with 4 bottles of pepsi because they're on offer. And a few reduced cakes and yoghurts! I'm determined to keep out of the shops for a while now...do.not.need.to.go.shopping!

Woke up late today so breakfast/lunch was 2 pieces of YS bread toasted with jam. Then when I got home I had a veggie burger in YS bread with YS salad and potato wedges :) Need to work through some of the mass of YS yoghurts I have in the fridge tonight...

The house desperately needs tidying so I will make an effort to get the freezer and cupboard inventory done at the same time and then work on meal planning!

Going to put some potato cakes into the freezer today. A lamb steak has come out to defrost for OH tomorrow and also the wedges and veggie burger have got used...finally working through some of it

Hope everyone had a good day :)

Just been organised and worked out a meal plan and shopping list for next week (try and do this on a Thursday so if I'm getting it delivered it's all ordered in advance and even if I'm not it's good to be organised before the weekend).

SUN - Vegetable korma with rice and HM naans naans in the freezer from last time, do need to get yoghurt, almonds and a cauliflower but have all the spices/garlic/chilli/ginger in
MON - Lasagne, garlic bread and salad Have the lasagne and part baked bread in the freezer, just need to buy salad
TUES - Steak with chips and peas just for OH - I have an evening work event so will take a sandwich to eat on the train :(
WED - Greek black-eyed bean and spinach stew with crusty bread Have all the ingredients in except spinach - just need to make bread
THURS - Tuna baked potatoes with salad Just need to get salad
FRI - Chicken and tomato chimichangas with salad a new recipe from my Mexican/South American cookbook! Actually have all the ingredients except fresh tomatoes, just need to make wraps on the day
SAT - Homemade pizzas with salad and coleslaw Don't have any of the ingredients and had planned something using up stores but OH wanted pizza :rotfl:

Not done too badly, just need to stick to the lost when I go shopping as this is a "buy as little as possible" week, not a "stock up" week :rotfl:

Big shopping trip today...HFS and a two supermarkets in one loop. Just under €60. Lots of fruit and veg (two bags worth!) soy milk, Nakd bars, ritz crackers, two tubes of bogof pringles, vitalite, WM pasta, aminos, tofu, salsa, soy desserts, jelly and some vegan sour cream and sandwich slices.

Baked 2 dozen cupcakes this evening to take to class tomorrow. Got some bramleys today and have a pack of pastry in the freezer, so will make a tart this weekend. Freezer starting to empty out a bit so it's less like playing tetris every time I want to get something out from the back :D
