Wish you lived by me I have a roll of cellophane and loads ofr ibbon, gift bows etc and sadly no Mum to buy and wrap for this year.
Something to look out for if you are in a poundland or 99p are the
roasting bags, usually 2 large (turkey size) or 5 small in a pack.
They are so usuful just to pop a plant in and decorate with ribbon.
Hope your ML enjoys her Orchid.
Right, that's me off down the M54, see you in a bit x
So sorry to hear you will be missing your mum this year, I well know the pain of those special days without the most loved people, it would have been my husband's 45th birthday last week, I'm off work as I need to get back on my feet.
Thanks so much for the encouragement and tips, am a big 99p Store fan, um especially the one in Telford xx0 -
Hi everyone,
NSD today. I had meal-planned DR meatballs and spaghetti for dinner but no meatballs in the freezer :rotfl:so we will have DR sausages, mash and beans instead.
Just about to make a vat of tomato pasta sauce. Will freeze it for use next week
Soggy day here in Kent. Hope you all have a good day wherever you are.

I can smell the weekend from here.... I can.
Just had my second packed lunch of the week, having brought breakfasts in as well, and will be having my fourth dinner from stores tonight too. I found a lonely little sirloin steak lurking in the freezer, and will be having that with some new pots and spinach this eve.
I did crack and get some fresh milk yesterday. I tried doing the UHT stuff, but it's not the same in tea and coffee.
One of my close friends is poorly at the minute, so I've taken him a couple of my ready meals to save him cooking. I still had to play tetris to get the freezer door shut again. I'm planning a bit of baking on Saturday, as I found a stack of cooking chocolate I need to use up, and fancy doing some freezable cakes for lunches etc.
I like this game. I'm really enjoying not buying stuff now. I found myself picking up the milk and smiling smugly to myself. By the weekend, I'm sure I'll be gagging to throw away whatever lovingly crafted ready meal I've got defrosting and splurge on a takeaway as a treat! Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

Have managed to spend £43.39 today but as well as the food shop it also included a Mother's day card and present for Mum. Just need to sort her birthday present out now - already have the card for this.
Will need some fruit & veg at the weekend, we have grand daughter all day Sunday due to her brother having to compete in a tournament. Have brought a chicken as its both hers and Mums favourite.
HM Meat & Potato pie tonight with roast parsnips, roast onions, broccoli and carrots. One of my favourite meals so looking forwards to it.
Tomorrow I am going to get some wool as mum was saying her legs were cold when she was sitting watching the telly in the evening, so plan to crochet her a blanket. She is a much better at crocheting than me but arthritis has put a stop to her doing it. Plan to do it in two colours but not sure how many 100g balls of each will need - does anyone have any idea - its just needs to cover her from the waist downwards. Was thinking perhaps 3 of each but is this to many? not enough? She will probably not get it till christmas anyway as not done any for years. I am now thinking that this is not one of my better ideas.:rotfl: (sorry for going off topic)
So far this month looks like most of us are on track but we all know how easy it it to let things slip so keep at it.MARCH £62.38/2500 -

I used to agree about UHT but my mum suggested I tried skimmed UHT as a stand by for semi-skimmed fresh, my family don't appear to notice when we use UHT now so mum was right.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
