Only a couple more days of March to go. Today will be another NSD, hopefully, so I'll only have to consider tomorrow. I don't think we'll need anything else tomorrow but I'm not sure so I can't declare yet. I really want to though.

Tea tonight was going to be a sweet & sour, but I just realised this morning I have no soy sauce so that wouldn't make a tasty sauce. I'll switch the mealplan around a bit and have a pasta bake tonight using last night's chilli con carne and have the sweet & sour later in the week. My big shop will be Tuesday (along with my big batch cooking day to make a large batch of ping meals). Feels a bit nervous budget-wise!

    KB xx

The stores I use are all closed tomorrow, so I'd say I'm guaranteed no grocery spends after today (and I'm hoping not to discover I forgot anything yesterday!)

Was doing so well and the DS2 came down last night and said he was using the last pull up! So I had to buy some V expensive ones in a local shop. Also decided to pick up milk, eggs and local paper so I am declaring at £410 for March :( Ah well, need to pull my socks up a bit in April.....

My April doesn't start 'til Monday though so I'll still be here until then....

I just spent £2.60 in Sbury's on a pavlova and some Elmlea.

That's me done for March so I'm 'declaring' at £198.05 for the month.

Not bad for a first go I reckon but I did have a freezer stocked with Waitrose meat from £75 worth of vouchers given to me through work.

I'm aiming for the same next month (the sum of £200, not the freezer full of Waitrose meat, sadly :))

Thanks everyone for all the ideas, support and encouragement x

Last spends of March today and the total stands at -
£172.33/£240 so £67.67 under budget.:T Great result but think a lot of this was due to us being ill earlier in the month and just not eating much or going out to buy. Still however it was done it was under not over so pleased. The highest % of the budget was spent on fruit & veg :A lol

Have already set Aprils at £220 so lets see if it can be done.

    Happy Easter everyone :easter:

Been in HB today and spent £19.14 on a present for DDs step mum, wrapping paper, cleaning stuff, dog treats and a few other bits; taking away the pressies and wrapping paper, i am declaring a £13.14 for my last March spend. I spent £4.00 in FF too, but those were items that would have been on the SM delivery as of April 1st so i am adding that to that spend. I am also deducting half the AF bill and adding it to Aprils and half the Cloud 9 bill; as i haven't even eaten or used half of the products ordered yet, i might have even been able to get away with dividing the bill over the three months. I will report back with my total spend shortly.

Minus £11.10 split for AF order and minus 7.50 for Cloud 9 order split ... so £373.10, still a massive overspend of £73.10, i'm blaming it on the pets :p

I'm moving over to April now to add what i have just deducted!
GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 July £85.95/£150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. One person vegan household with occasional visitors)

Okay - I'm officially over budget!

Meal changed to home made curry with rice last night (everything apart from chopped tomatoes and onions were in stock).

Went to Borough market yesterday so (of course) got tempted into buying things. Seeing as my jerk paste (delicious) ran out on Thursday, I saw the stall and bought not only another jar, but also a jar of 'Hot and Kickin' tomato chutney! There goes the plan to use up all the spices and chutneys/sauces already in stock! Oh well - it was a nice day and didn't spend money on lunch (had a big breakfast and early dinner), so you win some, you lose some.

Also spent £2.50 in Costcutter on milk, loose onions and chopped tomatoes yesterday.

Tonight's meal has been cancelled because I'm going out for drinks tonight so bought some smoked salmon from Mr S to have with toast this evening. Also bought a couple of packs reduced turkey fillets, and broccoli. Came to £6.99 after I used some Nectar points.

Monday I'll have smoked salmon sandwiches for lunch and I'll do chicken casserole with brocolli and new potatoes for dinner.

Shouldn't need to get anything else until Tuesday which is pay-day - at which point I've decided to do a big online shop. This going to the supermarkets on a regular basis is definitely costing me more money! :(

    So £16.49 to add.

    Must try harder next month!
