Well I am £1 over b6dget so far which I am happy enough with. Although I have realised that each month I am cheating and putting things into other budgets e.g. this month it was easter eggs and a couple of other thiings whereas a year ago I would have classes them as grocery spends. So while I have decreased my spending I think it is not by quite as much as it seems.....1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100
MFW 2013 no. 62 £10,000/£10,000
MFW 2014 no 62 £8000/£70000 -

I don't think this is cheating at all
I have a separate budget for presents/cards/Christmas this year and this month has took a battering!
Sounds like you are doing brilliantly to me x0 -
Thanks mrscautious. I am generally pleased as a year ago we were spending £550-600 per month and we're down to a budget of £400 per month now. But I reckon I'm actually spending about £425 a month but getting around by putting things into other budgets! Either way we're spending a lot less on everything in the last year so happy days!1% at a time no. 40. £8000 (For dream family holiday) 94/100

Hi everyone,
Happy Hot Cross Bun day
£23.70 going into 2nd purse for items used this week. Just under budget for March. Need to update sig.
DH had a big birthday this week and we have two gatherings planned, one on Sunday (22 family) and the other on Monday (36 friends). We have purchased bbq meat (yes really!) and wine from our entertaining budget, but I will need to get side dishes and soft drinks tomorrow. These items will again come out of the birthday fund as we were always going to be entertaining this weekend.
I'm still here reading and posting until end of Sunday, so I wish everyone well for the last couple of days of March. If only we could survive on chocolate eggs alone :EasterBun

Finally ended up spending €175.54 for March...not hugely over, on the plus side have protein for at least 12 dinners in fridge and freezer, so maybe not too bad.

Hit a large Mr T today to use a £5 off £40 spend voucher.
My bill (before any vouchers) was £40.51, of which £12.99 was non-food items. So that leaves £27.52 to declare. I than had 80p off vouchers for using against specific items, taking total for groceries to £26.72. Of that £10.39 was on items for taking on holiday next month, so wouldn't have been bought until next week had I not had the spend threshold coupon to use - so I'm charging those to next months budget. That leaves £16.33 to come out of my March budget. But then I have the £5 off voucher to take off. As I've split the spends between 2 months I'm also going to split the voucher, and on a proportional amount. So £3 off my March spend and £2 off my April spend.
So that's £13.33 against my March budget, but I also had a £1.11 price match coupon that I've have used against this shop. So £12.22 to be allocated against the budget bringing me to £144.53 of a £211.50 budget.Cheryl0
