Nothing spent yesterday, and no chance to spend anything today.

Declaring month end at £144.53 from a budget of £211.50

Now have a credit balance for the year to date of £163.46 which is good news. But I expect next month to be tight as I'll be feeding my 3 GDs for almost 5 full days without having allowed any extra for it. Then at the start of May I start stocking up on expensive food items (mainly meat) from this years food festivals, which is when I expect the credit balance to get a real hammering :o

Just done my 'category' number crunching

as a percentage of my spend for the month, in January I spent 26.85% (£42.57) on junk/treats, 6.07% (£9.62) on fruit, 19.47% (£30.87) on veg, and 47.6% (£75.46) on everything else (fruit and veg combined = 25.54%/£40.49) - total spend = £158.52

as a percentage of my spend for the month, in February I spent 10.42% (£15.47) on junk/treats, 7.08% (£10.52) on fruit, 9.23% (£13.70) on veg, and 73.27% (£108.80) on everything else (fruit and veg combined = 16.31%/£24.22) - total spend = £148.49

as a percentage of my spend for the month, in March I spent 7.97% (£12.64) on junk/treats, 11.04% (£17.51) on fruit, 15.74% (£24.97) on veg, and 65.25% (£103.52) on everything else (fruit and veg combined = 26.78%/£42.48) - total spend (before deducting £14.11 of vouchers) = £158.64

Really pleased to see the spend on junk/treats has dropped again, both in terms of %age spend and actual cash parted with :T Was also pleased to see the spend on f&v had jumped as much as it did from last month and is more in line with January :)

Evening. End of the month has rolled around and I didn't have the NSD I'd planned to have. Sadly spent £4.09 on some bits for lunch and some mushrooms for tea. Did have to get eggs as well. Oh well. Big shop should be Tuesday, although Mr KB wants to get some bits tomorrow as we are seriously short of stuff. Whoops.

The chicken and bacon pie is in the deconstructed stage, ready to assemble just before baking. All's well though. Declaring at end of March with £508.82 so far this year. £1.291.18 left for the year ahead.

    April. Bring it on.

    KB xx

  • Have had difficult few weeks & think we are a little over budget.
As I am now newly single I'm going to have to re adjust the budget completely as it'll be for me DS1, DS2 & 2 cats :)
So.. here's to April & new starts!! ;)

I'm declaring March as green with a spend of £190.70 against my target of £195 :j

I suspect it will be tough to hit my April target, as the stores are very low, but I need to be strict with my spending.
Debt free since December 2015. It can be done
