Well due to the fact they confirmed my original quote speedily and then waited until after the cooling off period to advise me of a revised quote of more than double, then I think I have grounds for complaint.
Expect them to send you an even higher one now you've taken it upon yourself to cancel your DDI :rotfl:0 -
My cooling off period ended a few days ago, just after they confirmed that their quote of £109 had now been changed to £261. Clever timing on their part I think. First Utility have put in an objection to their taking over my account in 10 days time.
And we are in discussion as they, Spark, are actually responding to me - slowly - but responding.0 -
No, I have asked them to put an objection to the takeover as I want to stay with First Utility. They may be slightly more expensive but their customer service is excellent.
edit: First Utility are not more expensive since Spark upped their quote by more than double the price.0 -

We'll see; you clearly are a fan of Spark, or perhaps work for them, I dont know. But I dont think Ive come across a worse company for a very very long time and regret ever finding them via the Cheap Energy Club.0 -
A surprising large number of user reviews (343) on review centre for such a tiny company and currently standing on an average of 1star out of 5! To be fair most of the Big 6 don't exactly come out smelling of roses on there either. But Spark aren't Big 6

You are too late. You had the opportunity to change your mind during the cooling off period.
That ship has now sailed...
You could request to return to the ressuringly more expensive supplier of your choice, but such switches typically take 4-6 weeks.
If you owe Spark money when the request to switch reaches them, perhaps they will object to you moving0 -

No I am not a fan of the supplier. I have never been supplied by them (just like you so far... but I sense that is changing for you very shortly, ... if I were to believe anything you have posted),
Nor am I employed by the supplier.0 -
