Bedroom Tax and kids living away??

no matter who is elected ... once this has been introduced it will stay!
have you not looked into a care package for your OH?
its worth considering as you may be pleasantly suprised with what may be on offer
I beg to differ regarding the benefit reduction staying, because Labour will have to dangle some very juicy carrots to tempt potential voters to actually vote.
No we don't "qualify" for anything, as we live in our own property, and DH has me to supply his care. And why should I expect taxpayers to fund me having a night off? As I said, you are right and not all people receiving DLA have the same outlay.

Now it's "pay me" for many and its sad to see communities go this way. I know a disabled person who claims direct psyments and employs their friend, so very sad.
I'm sorry, I probably didn't explain myself right. I have friends who used to sit with DH for a few hours, which was fine when he was in the early dementia stages, but as he his Alzheimers is so much worse, I wouldn't dream of giving that responsibility to anyone but qualified carers.
I'm going into hospital next week, and when I come out, I won't be able to drive for 6 weeks, so I'm paying for taxis for DH to go to his club daily. It's been a nightmare sorting things out, but that's life, and the 6 weeks will soon be over (I hope!)

I've never even seen a power chair!
Really  do you go around (if you ever go outside) with your eyes shut? Or are you blind like Nanny?
I find they can be quite annoying sometimes, scooters are the worst though but very useful for running over people that are annoying as wheelchairs can be for "accidentally" of course driving into the back of someone you don't like!
I amazed if you have never seen one that someone hasn't run over you with one!!The most wasted day is one in which we have not laughed.0 -

I've seen lots of scooters (we even have one) but I'm not even sure I know what a power chair is. Is it some kind of super electric wheelchair?
I go out mainly to walk the dogs, not usually on places suitable for wheels. Other than that I'm in the car.0 -
i suppose at your age you would consider 18 months to be recent.
and i'm still getting used to it.
still regularly misjudge where i am exactly and walk into a very sharp corner, and the bathroom door can be particularly spiteful.
and that is considering that my sight has lessened sugnificantly SINCE i moved here.
Nanny I thanked that because of your spiteful bathroom door. I have a kitchen doorway like that. It seems to move when I go through it, and it's always the boobs it catches! Spiteful doors!!! Love it!4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
hahaha
sadly i only have 32 b's so they never hit anything first lol
i always seem to hit everything with my head!
make of that what you will0
