To be fair pairing the 8GB Nexus 4 with the Ovivo SIM would cost £10/mth over the next 24 months. A veritable bargain. But then again pairing a Very-purchased Huawei G300 with the ovivo SIM would cost a crazy £3/mth

Either way, I hope we talked the op out of a 24 month contract.. :rotfl:0

Thanks so much for the replies, you've all been very helpful!
And of course, the biggest thing I've learned is to stay away from 24 month contracts...
The problem I have is that currently I don't use my phone very much. But if I was to get a nice phone, with the internet (BTW, current phone is a nokia sport 5500!) then I'd probably use it more, if only because of the Internet.
Probably the main reason I want the new phone is that I'm interested in learning to develop apps for the android software. So I guess that's my main requirement really. I'm thinking of pushing for the Nexus as I've heard so many good things about it (although I realise the other phone is excellent value for money, also appears to have great reviews)..0 -
Dont know whether its a requirement OP but you cant add extra storage space via an micro sd card to the nexus 4.0

8GB Would be a straw to far for me. With a hi-res 4.7" screen its very much suited to doubling as a portable media player (my 4" screen phone is good even)
Start with 8GB and take out various for system and apps, add a few music albums and that doesn't leave much. Depending on where you get your movies but my DVD rips and off-air recordings vary between 1 to 4GB unless I faff about recoding them again. I easily use much of my 32GB SD card. I could get by with the 16GB version with some loading/unloading and unlike Apple, Google are only charging £40 more for another 8GB which is still a lot more than it cost them to fit but tolerable.
Its hard to reason why no SD slot, I suspect its because using a memory card its a lot easier to reflash the phone and generally booger about and hack it, they understandably want it kept as it is.0
